Nothing new here as it was reported in the media a few weeks ago that the Suns are going after Lloyd and are willing to offer as much as a million a season for him. All I can really add to the rumour is that Lloyd is believed to be close with Stewy Dew and that may be a big factor in his decision.

it was reported sun offer was 1 million more then Sydney's over the length of the contract

Thanks for clearing that up. The takeaway from that information is that we are willing to pay him more than others.

A mil a year for Lloyd would be cheap for gcs.
He is an absolute gun, who's only going to get better.
I reckon Ablett would like his 6 years back from GC. Don't do it Lloyd.

He'd probably just be around Jarrod Harbrow's level, which is fairly good, but certainly not great, and never really got that much better (if at all) once he went to GC.
Don't really know why the Suns would feel that investing heavily in a small HB flanker is "the answer", but they probably don't have a whole lot of other options, either.

Wish this was about Sam Lloyd.
With Harbrow winding down, would probably go right in his spot. Not desperately in the needs catagory, but experienced players on the GC, I won't complain. Weller has gotten a lot better as the season has worn on, and has shown having good disposal off the HB line is key.
Need to sort out our midfield though. That is what we should be looking at bolstering and who knows, we may already have a lot of those irons in the fire already.

Sam Lloyd is a bloke that should be looking to get to the Gold Coast...too talented for the VFL but not getting a look in at Gold Coast. Anthony Miles is in the same boat. Tigers first round pick plus these 2 for Lynch!
