Pretty sure the recruiters watch him in other games other than champ games to get a guage on his talents elsewhere .
I like my theory on that one .
Has played as a forward, apart from one game at the start of the year at CHB.

Rozee is very high on my wishlist. The kid has serious talent. Make it happen SOS.
Walsh & Rozee would be a fantastic draft coup for us I reckon! Let’s get those 2nd rounders off and move up into the firstRozee is very high on my wishlist. The kid has serious talent. Make it happen SOS.

He was basically backing his draft assessments and thought for example that McKay and TDK were picked to early. When questioned that blues thought they would have been gone he stated McKay was a 10-15 pick whilst TDK was 40-60. Well McKay went at 10 and TDK would have been gone.We may getting our hopes up picking any reasonable talent in this draft. Just reading “draft expert” Knightmare’s thoughts and he reckons our recruiters are not up it and doesn’t appear to rate our recent drafts.
Serious question: is he actually as good as he makes out? I know anyone can have an opinion but he comes across as always wanting to be be “the smartest man in the room”.
How are the Crows gonna get Lukosious - the only way they can do that is trade player/s out.
IMO Knightmare is a good researcher with an average track record on the draft,

Sorry, I don't see any reason why GCS would do such a deal.Yep!
#1 + our 2019 1st + #27 for #2 + #3 + GCS 2019 2nd
#19(pp) + #24 for #9
OUT: #1, 2019 1st, #19(pp), #24, #27
IN: #2, #3, #9
Draft: Rankine, Walsh and Rozee.
Sorry, I don't see any reason why GCS would do such a deal.

That's because there's not one
There is, two #1 picks in a row. They'll be heading into next year's draft with 2 top 3 picks. Guaranteed Lukosius to replace Lynch.
Aside from obviously no guarantee that we'll finish bottom next year (with a reasonable injury run, we won't), If we want Lukosius, we're not going to be trading #1. For us to do that trade would mean that we don't want Lukosius ie Gold Coast could take him at #2 or #3 anyway.

While I respect the amount of work he does, his willingness to respond to question, lets just remember he didn't rate CC in the top 20 in his draft. Likes to pick out his roughies and make big calls - like Jono Marsh /Rhys McKenzies in his top 10Knightmare isn't infallible. What he has over most other draft commentators is a good awareness of a huge number of prospects. This gives him better opportunities to compare and rank players, based on what he sees, but he is just as susceptible to over/underrating players based on personal opinion. And at the end of the day, he could be right or wrong about a player's potential and we'd never know for sure depending on what sort of development system they end up in, or how (un)lucky they are with injury.
May get FA compensation.Think Valente's range is 16-26 at this stage. If he plays seniors and continues to evolve as a player, he will be a first rounder. I rate him better than Dunstan
As for the trade scenario, Dogs are in an interesting situation. West won't be bid in the top 10, but I think he will attract a bid before the end of the 1st round. Khamis will attract a bid before or by the end of the 2nd round. If they use their 1st rounder for best available, their remaining picks 41, 59, 60, 77, will come nowhere near what they need sending them in to a rather large deficit for next year. That's why I suggested, they either need to trade out players of value, or amass more points this year, by trading back for picks
He's right about TDK, there were midfielders left that were worth taking and I don't know what to make of TDK other than he seems a bit 'vanilla'. If standout KPFs are there really early in the draft, you usually draft them. The value is better for midfielders and third tall types later in the draft rather than genuine big men. I don't understand our tactics in the draft last year apart from the idea that SOS and co thought that we were going to rise up the latter dramatically, that may explain half of it.He was basically backing his draft assessments and thought for example that McKay and TDK were picked to early. He noted that he believes KPP's unless elite are overrated. My take on that is that he believes the Tiger / Pies have the correct model and therefore you recruit to that model. All well and good however all you are then doing is being a follower.
So my reading is that he believes his strategic approach is the correct and if you dont follow it then you are no good.
Like his write ups however im not convinced he is qualified to comment on the expertise/skills of professional recruiters. More so because its not like he has been a player/administrator/junior coach - just a bf punter who has created a niche for himself.

Of course there's no guarantee, but it's likely we'll finish last, if not bottom 3.
GC are like us and they need multiple quality players. They are not going to chase pick 1 and give up multiple good pick to get it. They also aren't going to trade this years picks for next as they won't want to delay their rebuild.Of course there's no guarantee, but it's likely we'll finish last, if not bottom 3.
We'd want Lukosius. But I also don't doubt we'd prefer to take Walsh + Rankine at his expense + our 1st next year. Whether GCS would prefer to take Rankine + Walsh vs Lukosius + an additional top 3 pick next year (likely #1) after losing Lynch is only known to them, but it's possible.
Sorry, I don't see any reason why GCS would do such a deal.
TDK's a lot of things, but he's not plain. He's right about TDK, there were midfielders left that were worth taking and I don't know what to make of TDK other than he seems a bit 'vanilla'. Yes, that was a shocker. Hm, you expect the same stupidity again. You may be right. To my amazement, Weller's deal actually turned out not as bad as Weller looked last month like he could turn into A player. Part of the deal was also pick 42 that Suns used on Ballard who turned out to be an absolute steal (top 10 pick for me).Did you call pick 2 for Weller by chance?
