To be fair, Buddy was injured.

Has been for a month or so, Horse just loves playing injured players and running them into the ground though (see: Hanners, Jack, Mumford, Franklin, Tippett, Richards, Parker, etc.)

Seems to be a trend this year. Half our blokes seem to play injured every week too :drunk:
I think you are distorting events. Outside of Daniher, who fits this?
Conor had a niggle for a couple of weeks, but most players have niggles. Can't think of anyone else?

Buddy got one of his goals from a free kick that he shouldn't have got, and his other one when he should of had a free kick against him, so effectively held goalless.

I think Buddyā€™s free kick was there. Hurley did go early and there was some high contact. Normally A great place to give away a free but Its amazing how Buddy kicks goals from the left pocket/flank more easily then the right.

(But so was Browns on Half time)

Definitely. The old run at full pace then suddenly stopping because the balls going over your head. Though I hate that free kick, it's always paid. We haven't had a forward can't clever enough to pull it off unfortunately, so it often seems like it's only ever paid against us.

Just watched the replay. Smith kicks the last goal. Then they cut to the bench and Hurley is there on the phone. I want a gif of him smiling and fist pumping on the phone!!
He looked to be in a great mood, when the players were lining up for the tunnel he was trying to convince Brown to let him chair him off

Yes he was. Lots of hugs and he would have felt so very satisfied. To play a role that he was born to play but to finally beat Sydney so easily after they threw the kitchen sink at us early. His career coincides with this crap run against them so it would have been super satisfying.

I loved hurleys game. At his best he is an AA backmen. With buddys injuries and lack of stamina and fitness im not prepared to put him on the pedestal the media is currently placing him on. Not because he doesnt deserve it. Im just not sure buddy was at his best and so hurley shouldnt be marked as if buddy was playing at his best.

Was under the impression he were, so yes
Clearly injured. Even Josh Kelly was struggling early in the year. Now heā€™s fit heā€™s back to one of best mids in league.

Plus you could tell last night Buddy pulled up at times. Still, great game Hurls, no denying that.

The best game Hurley has played in a year and a half I reckon, and in his top handful of games full stop. Absolutely supreme effort from the big grizzly bear.

If he can lock down like he did last night, it allows us the ability to play a more free wheeling defender. (Dea, Hurley & Hooker locking down, Saad, McKenna + a Goddard, Francis, Fidley perhaps)
