I feel like Jo came out of nowhere. Signed by city for 20-30m IIRC, played a few games then never heard from him again. Elano looked good for city but seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth after 1-2 seasons.

Mario Stanic signed with Chelsea in 2001ish and scored one of the goat goals in prem history on debut and then disappeared.
