Very, very suss with two wives falling victim to suspicious accidents.

"Friends of missing Queensland woman Carmel Brookes are appealing to Australian authorities to continue investigating the circumstances surrounding her disappearance at sea in 2012.

The 60-year-old former Department of Foreign Affairs official vanished while sailing with her partner Gerry Goeden off the coast of Thailand four years ago today.

Her body has never been found.

According to statements given to authorities, Mr Goeden said he was sleeping when his partner disappeared and he could find no trace of her when he woke up.

The pair had been living as expatriates in Malaysia at the time, however neither Thai nor Malaysian officials took the investigation any further.

Almost 30 years earlier, Mr Goeden's first wife Ellen died after falling off a cliff while the pair were picking ferns at Barron River Gorge near Cairns.

At the time, the coroner ruled her death was not suspicious.

Last year, the ABC reported the Australian Federal Police had begun their own investigation into Ms Brookes' death.

In 2014, officers questioned a number of people, including Mr Goeden, and searched several properties in Queensland owned by Ms Brookes.

But there have been no new developments to date."

I can't see what kind of doctor he is but was reading an article a few days ago, that psychopaths are attracted to the medical field and surgery. The odds of losing two wives, one over a cliff and another overboard wouldn't be high I imagine.

Marine Biologist. Friends of his second wife are pushing for a coronial inquest. This one is primed for a podcast teachers pet style
