My heart sunk when he went down. How's the courage and how he attacked that contest though. I was so focused on Dan that I didnt even notice Dixon down nearer to where I was sitting. I hate footy right about now

Houston has proved any doubters wrong. He has developed a real toughness at the contest and makes excellent desicions.

Losing him yesterday was as big a loss as losing Dixon at the other end.
Dan Houston being concussed in a collision that also resulted in neck soreness and possibly severe bruising to his chest. He was taken to hospital for X-rays. ..
If he gets over this he might play ...

Has really stepped up his intercept marking (which takes some courage) in the second half of this season. Combine that with superb disposal and we have an absolute gem. Protect him at all costs.

Dixon had been outmarked quite a bit in the second and third quarters and was playing from behind a lot.
It said a lot to me (about all sorts of things, good and bad about our coaches and structures) that Watts went back to replace Houston rather than deep forward to cover Dixon when both went down.
Was clearly our best until he went off. Hope you're ok Dan. God knows we need you.

I’d put him in the leadership group next season.
Dan was the only player against West Coast who had an Effective Disposal Percentage of 100%
