Surely not. Love for the guy aside (and we all love him) hes 32 next year and contracted until 2020. Crows are notoriously difficult to deal with at the trade table and personally wouldnt give up more than a 3rd rounder for him and thats only due to what he would do for our membership numbers. Crows also wouldnt want to lose him for the same reason.

I'm not so sure. If the rumours about the pre-season camp and Eddie's disenchantment are true, the Crows might prefer to do him a favour and get him to Carlton, perhaps on the proviso that he keeps his mouth shut about what went down.

When have the Crows ever been reasonable? I know about the pre season rumours and where there is smoke there is fire but that is a real long bow mate. They wont trade him for a reasonable value and besides which Adelaide have given that company who arranged the pre season thing the flick. I think this is just nothing more than fanciful pie in the sky rumour talk.
personally 4th rounder at most for us, who knows what went on in that camp but if the rumours are true then I can see the crows wanting a full circuit breaker to start preseason afresh.
They have too much talent to be missing finals at this stage of their premiership clock and need a fully unified approach to 2019

In regards to Rankine, apparently he is definitely open to joining Carlton.
Carlton have apparently expressed a very strong interest in drafting him. (Source is a Rankine family member)
Not sure how reliable the info is.
If this does have any truth to it, hopefully it means we are trading pick 1 down to pick 3 with Gold Coast which includes Will Brodie and some later pick swaps.
Gold Coast get Lukosius and Walsh with picks 1 & 2
Carlton get Rankine with pick 3 and Will Brodie.

His wife's family are all from Melbourne, so she does not have that support now. Eddie's family were living in Melbourne too, It was his father who was in SA.
