Goldsack had his left knee reconstructed in March. Unless Collingwood wants to end his career this Saturday, otherwise he should not play competitive final this season at all.
Would love Goldsack to play please play him on Darling who can run him into the ground

Please play Goldsack. He did f all in their VFL final yesterday. Apparently shirked out of several contests too.
Indeed no way they bring in Goldsack played on VFL game, Treloar missed 3 months of footy and Darcy Moore played 7 games all year.

JK will be the only player with a cloud in t
hat he hasnt played in a while.

For the Pies they have the following:

Penddles - Having a week in bed isn't the best prep for a player about to lead the midfield.
Trelour - Suffered a serious injury to his hammies. Being that he is a mid and it will be a high intensity game do they risk him?
Howe - He will be fine.
Moore - Injury prone and they might not risk him.
Goldsack - Says he wants to play but with a big AFL final looming with travel i would be surprised he played.
Varcoe - Has come out and said he wants to play. He will be quite emotional considering the loss of his sister.
The only difference being JK is a full forward so he can play one out in the square and would still cause any defender nightmares

Yep, even an underdone JK will suck up a quality player, tackle, goal assists and maybe sink a couple of snags...having said that, he was held goal-less before-recently?

JK hasn't been held without a goal in any game that he has played this season

And maybe Jetta too. Though he's had almost 3 weeks since he last played to get himself right.

Everytime we play Collingwood I just picture guys like Sidebottom, etc being all flukey. Its scary.

Need a decent start and get the crowd roaring.

Give up a 4 goal headstart, like we have been and we are sunk

Thanks for clearing that up.... I thought he had a bad game sometime this season, just after he came back before..?

Very nervous about this game.

Pretty natural feeling considering what is on the line here.

If we start bad that's it

No, it isn't.

This team has fought back every game bar two this season. Give the team you support some credit.

Show some goddamn faith.

As much as we've seemingly been on the precipice of just collapsing at times this season, we've probably fought harder and longer than most years that I can remember. Sure there isn't any coming back from 7 goals against the Cats and Blues in consecutive matches, but performance so far suggests we should always have a bit of faith in turning the tide mid match.
