I’m not huge on this Sam Lloyd news. I get he costs nothing but he’s just a player IMO. I don’t see the point of us getting him.

I did laugh at the idea of seeing one of the most injury prone defenders leave to bring in THE most injury prone defender going around. We are the Bulldogs though, Johnson seems like he'd be a good fit.

Might as well call us the Western knee re-co’s! If we get Johnson, that would be nearly 15 knee re-co’s between 4 players!

I would strongly consider that, but I can't see why the Giants would entertain trading him at all. He is a gun, from their academy and I daresay a pipe dream.

So far it appears we are not in the race or actively pursuing for any highly skilled quick small forwards/midfielders which would be astonishing if is the case. I would confidently say there would be 30 players in state leagues, afl lists not getting games or even 2nd tier comps who would have skills that complement our list better than HC. If HC gets another contract and we do not draft/ trade for quick skilled mids/smalls our recruiting team is a worry.

Hopefully they have something up there sleeve but I have a feeling it is bare. Lloyd does not fit the above criteria

The only players we have been fairly strongly linked to so far have been Wingard, Lloyd and Stengle. That would indicate small/med forwards are precisely what we are targeting?

I agree we can’t waste this draft.

We are very quiet so far but I’m trying to take that as we have learnt to hold out cards close to our chest.

I will be pretty disappointed if we are very active in what’s appears to be an active trade year

And this is the problem, some continue to live in 2016 when it doesn’t help us now.

Since then they haven’t been great and an internal report and review on them instigated by Bev said as much.

Rehabbing an injury, especially an ACL, is FAR from a holiday.

Im not sure that anybody who has done the hard yards of rehab post a knee reconstruction would agree with this.

Yes agree.It is a failure in your responsibility not to adress needs.
I am all for resigning Dickson so why recruit Lloyd.
Its like Trengrove all over.l dont care if he played ok in a few dead rubbers.He took
Valuable game experience from English.
Better to explore State leagues for a 20 year old small quick forward.A different
Dynamic.
Recruiters have to be accountable for deficiencies in our current side.
