The video was terrible though, as it did not give a great indication of what our facilities actually will include.
I thought it was pretty clear. Indoor Training facilities, admin space, GO foundation space, AFLW facility.

The Blood bank is brilliant. Because hello! Of course The Bloods would have a blood bank.:D

Recent sources including apparently the current press information booklet have the MCG at 138m wide now. Boundary might have come in for safety reasons?

Probably because the exact layout is still in the planning stages. Kennedy, Parker, Rampe, Heeney and Mills being over in Qatar with Horse and the other staff members looking at those facilities tells me the "shopping list" for the player training areas may get a few additions.

Whether you are bringing in architects to design a facility from the ground up, or if you repurpose an existing building, it usually involves some research and development to get it right. What the video showed is probably just a rough draft. Once they get plans finalized, it will look somewhat different. Hopefully better.

Why build a ground at Randwick if our base is going to be at the SCG?

This means after the facility is built we have have to get on a bus to get to our training ground and then get on a bus back to recover. This doesn't make sense.

I know we will have the SCG to train on during the year after next year, but for preseason and other times when the SCG is unavailable for our players, having a ground not on the same complex as where the new facility will be based seems stupid imo.

It’s only 2km up the road, it’s not like it’s on the other side of the city.

I'm just going off google maps

14 minute drive.

Just seems silly to me to build a facility where we haven't got a lot of space to use at our leisure.

Clubs like Collingwood and Hawthorn have built their facilities in areas where they know they'll have ground access right next door.

Still think the facility is good, but just thought having space to ourselves all in the same area would have been ideal.
Moore Park has been a multi-use facility since before the Swans existed... they were never going to let us re-purpose it as we pleased. I agree that it's not perfect, but I think it's the absolute best possible.
