Stats questions

West Coast in 1992 had 4 goal kickers in their GF win.

Is this the lowest amount of goalkickers for a winning GF side??
The obvious answer is 'of course not'. Collingwood in 1927 won the Grand Final 2.13 to 1.7.

Many other instances of 4 or less goal kickers, although probably none having kicked 16 goals.

A better question might be is 4 the highest average for all goal kickers in a grand final. I'm guessing it is.

3.25 in 1928 - https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1928/041419280929.html
3.00 in 1937 - https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1937/040919370925.html
3.00 in 1943 - https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1943/051419430925.html

Or...

What is the highest winning Grand Final score with the least amount of goal kickers?

Not a stats question, but how long have sides been wearing the Gold AFL logo on there Guernsey the H&A season after they win the flag? Literally only noticed it this year, and watched Collingwood in 2011 without even noticing.

Since 2008 when Geelong won the 2007 GF.

From memory it was Geelong’s idea, wasn’t it?
Mero would probably know.
If it were the AFL's it would be on everyone's shorts.
It might even be Channel 7's idea, but I don't have definitive answer.
Channel 7 were responsible for the clubs accentuating colours for colour TV.
I'd say most likely the club.

When was the last time a season started with the same coaches that started the previous season? Was it 2005 / 2006 ?

On track currently for the first time with 18 coaches.

Pretty sure it was within the last 5 years.
I checked back to 2005/6, that was the last time there was no change, unless I got something messed up.

At least one change:

17-18 Eade-Dew
16-17 Roos-Goodwin
15-16 Hird-Worsfold
14-15 McKenna-Eade
13-14 Voss-Leppitsch
12-13 Ratten-Malthouse
11-12 Malthouse-Buckley
10-11 Thompson-Scott
09-10 Wallace-Hardwick
08-09 Matthews-Voss
07-08 Pagan-Ratten
06-07 Thomas-Lyon
05-06 Nil

You may be right, but I thought I recall this coming up not that long ago.

2018: GC (2015-17)
2017: BR (2014-16), ME (2014-16)
2016: AD, CA, ES
2015: WB
2014 - GW, SK, WC
2013: PA
2012: CO, FR
2011: GE, SY
2010: NM, RI
2005: HA

What would be a top 20 for players who have had the most possessions in a season without kicking a goal?

I think you mean kicks rather than possessions. Just looking around the best I can find is:

407 - https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/M/Matthew_Boyd.html
393 - https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/H/Heath_Shaw.html

I actually was thinking about most possessions without a goal because I was intrigued by the article on page 50 of today's Herald-Sun which had a small table detailing midfielders who had amassed 550 or more disposals in 2018 and kicked fewer than 10 goals. Most kicks in a season without any goals is still an interesting stat however.
