Agreed. How we’ve changed these days though. Even as recently as the 90’s a fighter would have been ridiculed to death for pulling out of a fight due to a hand injury.
He had no choice. Others would not allow him to go on. You could hear it on the audio at time. Man, that fight was a bloodbath. Meanwhile seen a bit of Crawford boxing fight today and was boring as all *. The entertainment value of UFC is tenfold on boxing fights this era.

two different games alot of casuals prob alot from this thread would of seen first round of the main boring as hell cause it was one guy dominating on top. I find that exciting as hell. boxing is made to be exciting but with all the clinging and break ups I struggle

yeah pretty much if your on top and your opponent cant get up not as much as round 2. you know its a problem when connor looks straight at the ref waiting to be stood up. did it against Mendes as well.

Can’t remember that happening in the first.
Thought Conor looked very relaxed and controlled things well, took next to no damage and the scorecard reflected that with a 10-9 for the takedown.

Could you not see how spent Conor was after the first?
He was on top for the first minute at most, then Khabib got him down and he had no way to stop him.

Khabib called out Floyd. Floyd responded saying he's fighting Pacman before the year ends.

Khabib would get destroyed in boxing just like Money would get destroyed in the cage. Obviously.

PLOT TWIST - Khabib has requested McGregor to be in his corner to help prepare and train him for Mayweather.

thoughts on my last fight.
Round 1.
I believe from a sport standpoint, round 1 was his. Top position against the fence. Zero position advancement or damage inflicted. But top position.
From a fight standpoint the first round is mine.
Actual shots landed and a willingness to engage. Straight left early. Knee to the head on the low shot. Elbows in any and all tie up scenarios. Opponent just holding the legs against the fence for almost the entire round.
Round 2
he is running away around the cage before being blessed with a right hand that changed the course of the round, and the fight.
It was a nice shot.
After the shot I bounced back up to engage instantly, but again he dipped under to disengage. That is the sport and it was a smart move that led to a dominant round, so no issue. Well played.
If I stay switched on and give his stand up even a little more respect, that right hand never gets close and we are talking completely different now.
I gave his upright fighting no respect in preparation. No specific stand up spars whatsoever.
Attacking grapplers/wrestlers only.
That won’t happen again.
I also gave my attacking grappling no respect. To defense minded.
Lessons.
Listen to nobody but yourself on your skill set.
You are the master of your own universe.
I am the master of this.
I must take my own advice.
Round 3.
After the worst round of my fighting career, I come back and win this round. Again walking forward, walking him down, and willing to engage.
Round 4.
My recovery was not where it could have been here.
That is my fault.
Although winning the early exchanges in 4, he dips under again and I end up in a bad position with over 3 on the clock. I work to regain position and end up upright, with my back to the fence.
A stable position.
Here however, I made a critical error of abandoning my over hook at this crucial time, exposing the back, and I end up beaten fair and square.
What can I say?
It was a great fight and it was my pleasure.
I will be back with my confidence high.
Fully prepared.
If it is not the rematch right away, no problem.
I will face the next in line.
It’s all me always, anyway.
See you soon my fighting fans I love you all

Pretty spot on analysis there & completely the way I saw it.

Round 1 analysis is spot on.....most of everything else little over reaching for positives.

He did give some praise to Khabib.

Ferguson or Aldo(155) next I predict.

If he does want another rematch with Khabib then Aldo makes absolutely no sense.

Can’t see how he fights Tony.
Khabib stubbs toe which causes excruciating pain and will put him out of action for 4-5 minutes. Immediate interim title bout booked between Conor and Tony when news of this hits social media and viral video of Khabib rubbing his sore toe emerges. Winner gets unification bout against khabib.

Not so far from reality for the UFC.

* off campaigner
You're a chump then for giving his stand up fighting no respect. Any pro would, especially a former champion, against a CURRENT champion.
No specific stand up spars - ******* LOL!

So basically you prepared like a novice amateur from the 1990's.

Ridiculous. You're even more of a dickhead saying this s**t and using this as en excuse.

Hail King Khabib
