I reckon you may be close to the mark. I would say Ritchie and Langer must be the only Australians to make their debut Test century in Pakistan. If this is the correct answer, the likelihood of them being joined by other batsmen in the near future is sadly becoming more unlikely. Hopefully we will be able to see Australia play there again.

I can think of examples of maiden test tons by Aussies in India, Bangladesh, South Africa and NZ but was struggling a bit for Sri Lanka until I remembered Hookesy scored his one and only ton in our inaugural test there.

I looked at a whole bunch, starting from current players and working backwards.

I then magically found a reference to a player said to have identical averages but cricinfo stats don't support it. Won't mention who because I cheated and that's not in the spirit of the thread.
