Scandal Brian Lake gets sprung having a day out, does the public confession / rehab pledge

Yep. Question I have with these sort of things is whether they want or (more to the point) need to change.

I could be very wrong but someone like Lake just strikes me as a pretty normal dropkick.

He goes out and has a good time, sometimes takes it too far, gets in trouble, but nothing serious.

Then someone takes a photo of the obvious and it’s all “oh I’ve gotta go to rehab” etc. I mean give me a break. Do we really need these tearful episodes?

I reckon there’s a fair chance Lake doesn’t even think he’s done the slightest thing wrong and won’t change anything. It’s all PR, which is notoriously shitscared of the conservative population in a “lowest common denominator” sense.

I’m sure they’re told to do this garbage in case they’ve damaged a publicly visible career. I mean ****in Mumford ffs. Apparently there was talk of rehab. It’s some random video from years ago. He’s led a pretty normal life since.

It’s all just such bullshit.

LOL He's a wife bashing coke fiend but apparently conservatives are the lowest common denominator.

Didn’t mean it like that, conservatism is a spectrum, PR aims at the most conservative types. There’d be many “conservatives” who don’t care what Lake does.

Rubbish, PR is mostly aimed at SJW types who are offended by everything. They are Socialists, not conservative.

Spot on.

Although, I wished I had have taken photos of the Hawthorn premiership side that I saw walking into the cubicles in twos in the corporate at the GP a few years back. I hate those pricks.
I have seen some players off their faces, even a couple of players that I hate. But taking a pic of them and distributing it would be a campaigners act imo

I agree. I wouldn’t do it either other than to show ABASI MODERATOR.

Why? I’m reliably informed by big footy posters that everybody does it and it’s no big deal.

Anyway, everyone knows who they were, there was if I recall mention of it in the media at the time

I’m just not sure what satisfaction people get from distributing these sort of photos or do they get sold to the media.

Imagine back in the day the photos you would of got at a time when there didn’t seem to be a code of conduct or “care”.
