"Ventura Storm is going really well as his loss by less than two lengths to Winx in the Turnbull Stakes highlighted, finishing right alongside the Caulfield Cup equal favourite in Youngstar," Hayes said.

"He's way over the odds as Boom Time was last year when he won at $51. And you could argue he's going better than Boom Time. Plus Ventura Storm was always in the race so I didn't have to qualify him.”


Hayes said that Stormo had a wind op since last prep, struggled all prep with his wind and he's flying in trackwork and they're expecting a big run in the caul cup now his wind is right.

Boss got off him last prep and said to them "his wind wasn't great", and the operation has brought him on enormously.

Like I said I’ve had so many bets today, it’s extremely hard to keep track of every single horse I back. But if you were to ask every bookmaker in the Country ‘was there a winning bet at Wattsy’s address?’ Then yes, yes they would have paid out a certain amount of money to my address today on that particular horse.
