Good luck Jarryd Lyons

Mark Evans knows a bit more about running a successful club etc than us numpties......Hawthorn 2004 - 2013

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-03-13/afl-statement-mark-evans-appointment

He's had 2 years experience at actually running a football club and it has not been successful in any measurable facet. Whilst he took on a monumental task and has the previous resume to give him time to make inroads into said task, there is no tangible evidence to suggest he's any good at it at this point.

In any case, he's not their list manager.

If you did a survey you'd find that there's a huge correlation between the Dean Gore raters and the Lyons anti-raters. These are just the sunshine and rainbow brigade taking an opportunity to have another crack. Even though he's moving on because he's gotten a better offer from a club that these same muppets would otherwise be spruiking pretty hard. Funny s**t.
So if Lyons your son or something.

You are having a huge hissy fit over a Gold Coast delistee.

Players that are anything more than fringe in a good team don't get delisted. Lyons may have been delisted purely due to the overhaul gold coast is conducting, but they would have received offers had he had any real trade value. Instead they lose him for nothing.

Lyons isn't a spud, but he is hardly the absolute must have, missing piece that so many here make him out to have been.

No point bashing the club needlessly over a decision that has since been proven 50/50 at worst.

None will help you win a premiership.
Have you seen the spuds in Richmond’s bottom 6 of their premiership side? Didnlt Keating win one with us playing 6 AFL games? Chad Rintoul?

We of all clubs should know that some truly below average footballers have an AFL premiership medal.

Alright you atrocious judges of football - listen the eff up.

For the season just gone Jarryd Lyons averaged 24.6 disposals in 18 games and averaged 7.2 clearances per game.

Considering he’s apparently a depth at best plodder who isn’t better than CEY he’s doing pretty well.

What is a Surprise is that those clearance numbers actually put him ahead of some players in the competition!

Sure, mostly no-name footballers with no inside ability - y’know Dangerfield, Martin and Fyfe - those garden variety rubbish footballers that are incorrectly worshipped as clearance machines when they’re actually depth footballers at best.

He’s even got his new teammate Lachie Neale (who some on this board would’ve willingly traded a kidney for) covered on clearances per game. Again, he’s depth at best though so really it shouldn’t be surprising.

This bloke is criminally underrated by the Kool-Aid crew and I hope he aids Brisbane in a meteoric rise to the point he gets to play in a flag and stick up two middle fingers - one at the suns and one at this fan base which didn’t deserve him.

Lyons is a gun and if you don’t rate him then I don’t rate you.

We don't have Blighty, which means we need better players now than back then.

And just like some on this board go into full lindy mode without even having a clue as to the reasons for the GCS heirachy coming to that decision. The head honcho there now Mark Evans is no mug and was put in place by the AFL so I'd think there's some serious thinking gone into the decision.
You are assuming it was a decision by the "Heirachy" or Mark Evans. Not so sure this is the case. Had they wanted to move him on they had the chance to do so during trade week. This didn't happen so I assume by this something has happened since then as Jarryd is not your typical candidate for delisting.

As much as you would like to think so.

Is that seriously your comeback?!

Richmond didn't have Blighty either but have about half a dozen plodders as 2017 Premiership players. The list goes on. Every year a premier has a plodder or few in a premiership side. Do a bit of research and analysis, its good for you!

think you're very harsh on Richmond, cant think of one of their premiership players who is worse than Lyons and CEY.

maybe you have a man crush on lyons/cey i'm not sure, but they arent 'quality'.

Jacob Townsend, Jack Graham, Jason Castagna, Nathan Broad just to name a few

(Well Lyons is better than these guys, maybe not CEY)
