It's not the whole show on the podcastAndy Maher’s show runs midday-3pm. Just as an example, the podcast version of his show today (with ads cut out) goes for 1 hour and 20mins. Absolutely ridiculous.

Tobin Brothers funerals, have you chosen your casket yet? Ohhhhhhhhhh black and white, the sporty one HAHA FAKE LAUGH KILL YOURSELF i hate that bitch. All i ever hear is tobin brothers jin hang and tiles tiles tiles non stop. Overnights can be ok to pretty good, cover a wide variety however not nearly enough F1, cycling, nba and epl though at least there is some. The ads are a killer, ive had to give it a rest after trade week.
I mentioned this in another thread, but as someone who has lost family members recently, I find the funeral ads, especially the Tobin Brothers ads (incl. the one you mentioned) as highly offensive.
It is sick that funeral companies hit up grieving families for lots of money, and then use a lot of it on wall-to-wall advertising campaigns.
With just a dash of...Just as an aside - I find the Whately Macca Coffee Melbourne Cup tv ad one of the most cringeworthy in living memory...
I thought Hutchy had some role in packaging Sports Day (as opposed to the old Sports Today) up for 3AW thru Croc of s**t Media? Hence the proliferation of pus and the downgrading of what used to be a good show to Hutchy’s usual standardI suppose hearing the same ads over and over is one thing, but it's a misconception that SEN have more ads than anyone else. In fact, from what I've gleaned, they have slightly less ads than any other commercial station, particularly 3aw.
Before I continue, I've said many times that I have no life, so ya can't throw that at me. I mean, fa'rk, look at me: it's late on a Saturday night, and I'm REALLY looking forward to the high point of the evening, which will be driving to the shops as I drink a 7-Eleven cappuccino while listening to Off The Bench. Aaaaah, heaven, ha
Anyway.......
Also, the live reading of sponsors takes up less time than many might guess; I reckon it just seems longer because it's so annoying. I've timed Hutchy a couple of times on Off The Bench, and it took up about a minute per hour. I was all ready to launch into him on here for doing it, because it shits me, but I had to bail on my rant because the numbers didn't stack up. Ha.
Dwayne Russell also shits me by constantly talking about their sponsors on 3aw, but I timed him a couple of times this week, and it was much less than I expected: one night it was ~80 seconds over 2 hours, and the following night it was ~1 min 45s.
Back to SEN having no less content than other stations: I recorded Sportsday 3aw the other night, and timed the content. The first hour had 36m18s content, which included Dwayne shitting on about sponsors for 58 seconds. That obviously means there was only 35m20s of ad-free air-time, which is far'k-all, I reckon, even though they have a short news update at about 6:30. The second hour had about 36-and-a-half minutes of content, excluding Dwayne's sponsored droning. SEN usually have very close to 38 mins content per hour, with less sponsor waffle
Yep, if not the whole show, then definitely the second hour that goes into regional areas is run by Hutchy. Even Spud and Nims Azoor did the 2nd hour last Friday.I thought Hutchy had some role in packaging Sports Day (as opposed to the old Sports Today) up for 3AW thru Croc of s**t Media? Hence the proliferation of pus and the downgrading of what used to be a good show to Hutchy’s usual standard

Just A Dash,
The Cup of 81....
Gerard at his cringeworthy best
The cup of 18Give Gerard and Maccas time before they update the ad for the 2018 version...

And that the diamond guys are so great because they will discuss a ring with you over a beer. I’d rather guess and take the risk.I only listen to radio in the car. When the ads come on I generally switch over to ABC which has no ads. Ditto for horse racing. Tobin Brother's attempt to make funerals a glamor item, similar to weddings, seems very cynical. Also the diamond guys ads message is a little off, the implication seems to be that your worth as a man is directly proportional to the price of the ring you take home. They're ads that push phony expectations, whereas we should be moving on from that sort of thing.
