That Freo is a failure off field because of our lack of on field success. We are actually one of the best run teams financially, get some of the lowest handouts from the league, have the most expensive training complex in the comp, make a profit every year without pokies.

That we've supposedly been rebuilding since 1995. This usually goes hand in hand with more garbage like "you won't sniff the finals for another 30 years".

I don't mind arguing with fans about Carlton and understand where many come from when they question our club going forward.

But dickheads stating we've been rebuilding since 1995 are not even worth arguing with. We made a grand final in 1999, played finals for the last time with that group in 2001 and then fell to the bottom of the ladder. We then spent several years being a disgrace which landed us with Murphy, Kreuzer and Gibbs before Judd then decided to join. We then played finals from 2009-2011 and with our age profile it was expected that we'd continue to improve. Instead we drafted terribly, sacked a coach and went through 2012-2014 in no man's land pretty much except for the Richmond finals win. We commenced a rebuild after the 2015 season after the club finally accepted the position we were in, sacking Malthouse, moving on several others and bringing in SOS.

The notion that you are rebuilding if you don't win a flag has to be one of the dumbest footy sayings ever. This is our second rebuild in my lifetime. The first one was with Judd etc and it came up short.

Also get pretty annoyed when opposition fans tell us to clean out our footy department, CEO etc despite the fact we've recently done that.

Always been baffled by that assertion - similar thing came up when Watson got stripped of his Brownlow, specifically RE: Cousins. To win a Brownlow while off your head is an unbelievable achievement, I'd suggest giving him a second medal, although he probably doesn't need it
