Adelaide will no doubt be monitoring things closely.

Ideal scenario for us IMO is to do that trade, and for Lukosius to be taken at pick 2.

Watch the SA clubs (Adelaide in particular) shit themselves.

I am the biggest Sam Walsh fan, he is exactly what we need and I genuinely hope we draft him.

BUT......if Gold Coast is stupid enough to giver us 3 & 6 for 1, we take it (and we should).

Again, I just can't see it happening since Gold Coast needs all the talent it can get.

But if we had 3 & 6 who would I take? Probably Rankine or Lukosius at 3 and Smith or Rozee at 6. Rankine + Smith would greater than Walsh.

That Seven News story is totally a plant by us to whip up hype; I don't think Craig Cameron will fall for it; maybe last year's GC crew would.

Maybe I overestimate other clubs competency?

Im completely sold on Walsh now. Elite vision, excellent decision making at lightning speed and can run all day. Wouldnt give him up for picks 3 and 6. 100% changed my tune. Just needs to hit the weights over the preseason and he's right to go.

I say calm the expectation. SOS cannot do anything until stupid offers that too good to be true are actually made to us.
At moment we are taking Walsh and no trade but as a club what we can do is stuff like yesterday and make clubs panic a bit and then sit back and see if crazy offers come forward. None of clubs are likely to be stupid but just in case one or two do we have to keep them guessing to provoke stupidity from them happening.
Yesterdays effort was just that.

I do not see any trade happening but if it does, it is likely to involve two other clubs but it might be two trades by us to take maximum advantage. But IF we do get a silly offer with Gold Coast that gets us two picks in top 6 for pick 1 , this would be stage one and then let Port or Crows throw a stupid trade our way. Then we take maximum advantage with follow up trade as stage two.

I do not see it happening. It will take a lot of stupidity and panic from other clubs for us to trade pick 1. Cooler heads should prevail at all clubs and be content with what picks they got. Trading way overs would just be stupid and irresponsible by any club. As we are not trading unless they are stupid offers it is all kind of fake news we will hear.

Have always said I would be more than happy to see Walsh in navy blue but have also said trading pick one for the right offer makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Two picks inside the top 6 of this draft is the right offer and leaves us with an incredibly strong draft hand.

I'm not convinced we'd take Lukosius and Rozee but clearly that would be one of a number of very positive outcomes come draft day.

Still think ultimately we will take pick one to the draft but if we did a move like this it could really give us a significant boost along the rebuild. Pull the trigger Blues!

Pick 1 for 3 & 6 is the deal I want. Suits our need to stock pile great talent and maximise chances of backing best 22 players. Hope SOS can score this.

Stupidity builds through pressure, like Port giving up 1000 odd points to the Dockers.

Both SA clubs have the added pressure of capitalizing on aging players, I expect things will heat up
