Could be a good fit at Freo. Struggled to kick big bags and with Hogan in as well, would be a decent injection of goal kicking potential. 100 goals in 51 games, surely there is some juice left.

Extra 1.5 possies and 1 tackle per game more by Fasolo, but yes I'd rather the extra goals as well. Really depends on which one of them is 'less cooked' at the moment. Toss a coin...

Outside of Hawkins no-one else knows how to kick a goal at Geelong.(Kelly went alright with 24 for his first season)

He must be cooked because Geelongs forwardline is by far their biggest weakness and Menzel aside from Hawkins was the only guy you could rely on to score.

The big issue is his forward 50 pressure. With today’s game built around pressure he’ll be up against it getting taken unless he can convince a club he can improve that aspect of his game. A few years back there’s no way Geelong let him go. Extremely talented though and could still kick 40 goals.

I don't suspect Hawks are keen but he would be ok in our forward line - can take contested marks which is not the strength of our other forwards. And the rest of our forwards put on pressure.

LeCras laid 70 tackles this season. Not a great season by his standards but still managed 14 touches a game, 60 inside 50s and 32 goals. Was 4th for marks inside 50 and really 5th or 6th pro rata. Had doughnuts on the score sheet in the GF and still played a small role.

Menzel only played 13 games and was still number 2 for marks inside 50 for the Cats going at 1.5 per game. Doesn't get a lot of the ball, doesn't tackle and doesn't push outside 50 that much. He suits a team with only one genuine marking target inside 50, like say, Geelong.

I'd really like to see Menzel find a club and do well but I reckon at WC with the way he plays he would only succeed by us diverting ball away from Kennedy and Darling which is detrimental to our game plan.

Personally I think he'd be a great addition. Need some scoring power besides Buddy in the forward line.

Problem is neither of them ever plays 22 games! They both have no pace whatsoever so their days are numbered, IMO. Fasolo just got luckier getting in early.
