Kleenex to change its Man Size branding...

..."London: Kleenex maker Kimberly-Clark says it will re-brand its 'Mansize' tissues after consumers complained the name was sexist.

The company says that following a "consistent increase of complaints on gender concern" the product would now be called 'Kleenex Extra Large'.

Packages for the tissues describe them as "confidently strong" and "comfortingly soft."

Kimberly-Clark told the London Telegraph on Thursday that it in "no way suggests" that being both soft and strong was "an exclusively masculine trait", nor did the Mansize branding endorse gender inequality.

"Nevertheless, as we remain committed to developing the best possible products for our consumers and take any feedback extremely seriously, we decided to renovate our current product and update the product sub-brand as Kleenex Extra Large," the company said.

So in summary a company decided to re-brand a product their customers didn't like the branding of.

Seems reasonable enough.

Corporation cynically exploits a social movement for marketing purposes. More at 3.

Lol

Many rivers poisoned and many fields and many animals also by companies that make artificial substances and chemicals for food.

They are cashing in on the vegan movement. A movement that claims to be against cruelty and exploitation of animals

Most vegans are fine with the animal devastation their soy monocrop diet creates.

Professor Alessandro Strumia, CERN, spoke September 2018 at a workshop in Geneva on gender and high energy physics. In his presentation he provided evidence for employment policies in physics that were discriminatory toward men and data supporting his opinion that women were given advantages in the academic world purely on the basis of their gender.

As a result, Professor Strumia was suspended with immediate effect by CERN on the grounds that his remarks were antithetical to its code of conduct and to its values.
