Ok so teams that play finals obviously play more games and have more opportunity to score
goals, but there are some anomalies there as well as a grand canyon sized rift between the
haves and the have nots. It might be interesting to do players ( 16 to 20), but you would be
dealing with some small numbers.

Couple tiny bits of info, not sure where to put them.

Picken is absolutely certain that he is playing games next year. Also is absolutely certain that English is happy in Melbourne and will be a top ruck of the competition. Effusive in his praise for him.

Well that was very average, a lot of the numbers reflective of game styles and
always playing home games against crappy sides.

Anyone know when preseason training starts? I thought it started around November then they took a few weeks off around Christmas?

Reason I ask is I need to get Tom Boyd and Jake Stringer to sign my 2016 premiers guernsey for it to be fully complete.

From memory it's usually a few days after the draft in late November. Boyd might be in the group that starts a week or 2 later.

If you've got a teenage female family member, she might b the one to get the Stringer signature :)

Well done to Mattdougie and gangsta deluxe :D

Have had the hardest few weeks in my life (won’t go into it). John Schultz was on the train after work. Talked for 20 minutes. Told me he’d be in the box. Told me about his job with the players. His job in the box (and how big the box actually is!).

Asked me about my life.

Made my day in a way I can’t possibly describe. Told me to trust the players.

Thank you John. An important moment in my life and you would have had no idea. Tonight capped it off but it meant a lot to me regardless of whether Taylor kicked a goal or not.

Before anyone tags me

yes I said we had no chance at all.
Yes I was wrong.
Yes I am extremely proud
Yes I hate that scum team

Gowers recovering after car accident

Western Bulldogs utility Billy Gowers was involved in a car accident early on Thursday afternoon, having been at the Club earlier that day.

As a result of the collision, Billy sustained a fractured wrist, which has been repaired today.

There were no other serious injuries sustained by the other occupants of the two vehicles involved.

Billy is expected to be on the sidelines for a short period of time while he recovers from his injury, and his preparation for the 2019 season will not be impacted significantly.

Very true! I recently caught up with some people I hadn't seen for 25 years - definitely disturbing
I haven't changed in 25 years. Not one bit. Except, maybe, for the greyish hair, bit of weight, using a walker to get around, etc., etc., etc. Nah, not one bit. :(

The strangest thing is running into students I haven't seen in 30+ years. The local pizza parlour owner was in my Form 3 class in 1976. He's now about 56. (I do get discounted/free pizzas from him when I stop in. :D)
