Leaning towards thinking bones may have been found here because the police won't even say if it's a man or woman. They generally do if they can tell straight away and they can't say how long the body's been there for.

Following this with real interest.

I was thinking the same. No mention of nothing.

Reported at 6.30am this morning by a caller.

I'm thinking they would run with "skeletal remains" rather than "body" if it has gone beyond recent decomposition

Anyone recently missing that would make it that far out of town? A recent fire might have exposed the body and or they were caught in the fire.

Ohh yeah ... they probably would too. ;)

My wishful thinking again, getting all excited it might be Sarah Spiers.

Would SS be out there that long that just dust now?

Looks like the police car is at the street turn off entrance so hard to tell how far up. Bit of debri in the bush. Few burn outs

Although it covers a lot of ground, 35.5 km radius (Jane distance direct south longtitude of GPO) from the GPO is just before Todd road there on the bend, not far up. You would expect disturbed mind man to be within 10 metres of that.

Just on the press often getting details particularly on age plain wrong, today a child's body was found on a Gold Coast beach. It really is absolutely awful poor little thing wasn't even reported missing ... but I've seen reports of her being an infant, a toddler, 9 months old and two years old.

Announced that the body is a 37 year old woman. Iveta Mitchell was 37 when she disappeared?
Yep Iveta went missing from around Parmelia I think it was.

Mrs Mitchell left her Parmelia home in 2010 after a fight with her husband and was last seen walking across a nearby park on Meares Avenue. She was reported missing the next day.

Her wedding rings, which Mr Mitchell wears every day, were found on their front door mat a fortnight later.

Sadly yet another murdered woman in Perth.

If Dan hasn’t been DQ’d could see a map in the offing.

More than likely a Fibonacci spiral he alluded to previously.

Plenty of chatter this evening.

Police have confirmed they are on the hunt for a killer after a gruesome bush discovery in Perth’s south-east.

The family of the 37-year-old woman was given the bad news on Monday, 24 hours after her body was discovered off a dirt track near Canning Dam in a shallow bush grave.
Detectives are yet to reveal the victim’s name or how she died but injuries to her body have convinced police that she was murdered.

Apart from the remote location and the heavy tree cover, it appears that little effort was made to hide the woman’s body.
She was found uncovered, near a dirt track, just off Canning Dam Road.
