I know Bilal Asif only knows one way to bat but his shot was something else. Players have been marked never to play again for less than that.

Seriously that was about as legitimate as the January 2010 Sydney test.

That run out plus trying to smack them for six with four wickets still in hand - some serious questions have to be asked

They only need 20 to win and blokes come out 1st ball trying to slog it out of the stadium, guys call for runs then just stand out of their wicket staring at the fielder... Surely a match fixing investigation is mandatory here, extremely fishy. From what I saw i really think that finish was fixed

The match fixing jibes are pretty predictable, but pretty boring.

Go back and watch Australia choke the SCG test against the Saffers in 1994. Ridiculous shots and stupid run outs everywhere. Guess that was fixed. That MCG choke against the Poms in 1998 too.

It is a bit funny to see all the claims of match fixing because Pakistan lost their last 6 wickets for 24 when NZ lost their last 6 wickets the day before for 29.

Were you asking the same question last year when Shannon Gabriel - against Pakistan themselves, had one ball to keep out in order to leave Roston Chase (on 110 at the time) one over to bat out for a draw - and tried to hit Yasir Shah into the Caribbean Sea when he bowled a harmless half volley two feet outside off stump?

Have a look at the dismissals.

Everyone who has a legitimate say in the outcome - Azhar, Asad, Sarfraz - if you could mount a case for them deliberately getting out good luck.

Particularly amazing how Sarfraz intentionally got the ball to brush under his bat but hit his glove on an attempted sweep shot.

The guys who played the bad shots were tailenders - and not good ones either. Pakistan has a terrible tail. What bookmaker in his right mind is going to pay THEM to throw a match their side has all but sewn up, when in order for them to do so, the SENIOR BATSMEN have to get out first.

As for the run out, you obviously missed the series against Australia.

Then you need some education about how match fixing works

If was a shitty fixing job if it was a fix, they still got within one shot(or one bad ball down the legside) of victory and needed the umpire to give the last bloke out on a 50/50 lbw with nz out of reviews, azhar ali cant have been in on the fix but oxenford would have had to be in on it.

Teams don't need to to lose entire games when the money is made easily from spot fixing certain overs throughout matches.

This.

No bookmaker worth a squirt of piss bets on things that require a multitude of people to be in on it.

Getting back to the result itself - amazing that a side could win a match without sledging.

Wonder how this data will effect that scientific analyses of the ‘you can’t win without being a c—-‘ demographic

One other thing we have to remember is pakistan got rolled chasing almost the same target at the same ground just last year, as we know with our lot in the 1990's even one failure in a small chase like this can leave long lasting scars that impact future small run chases.

If he wanted pakistan to lose he could have just gone for a big swing on the 5th ball of an over and nobody would have blamed him, instead he took the single making sure the tail only had to face one ball, reality is a bunch of aggressive tailenders s**t themselves under pressure, happened before will happen again.

People were screaming “hurrrrr match fixing” then too.

The money that was traded on betfair was huge. There’s always money to be made on sporting outcomes, the smart ones do it well.

You can still win and collect on a fix too.

It was an entertaining conclusion to the test.

The dismissal of the number 10 was a shocker though.

Neil Wagner was doing a fair bit of sledging.

Highest successful chase on the same ground is 45 or so, an absolute nightmare to bat last on by the looks.

Apparently Wagner was chirping during the end overs according to the commentary I followed in cricinfo.

Yep Wagner was talking s**t non-stop, kinda funny watching the kiwi players all avert their eyes while he is giving it to the batsmen.

All teams have bowlers who sledge even the kiwis it's just not that big a deal, on this forum we all give each other more crap that these sports people ever do anyway.
