On a serious note, the MCC has a criteria that statues recognize individuals withe extraordinary feats at the MCG.

So that pretty much rules out most of your list.

Jim Stynes with all respect shouldn’t have had a statue. Great story in the AFL but not an all time “great”

If....and it’s a mighty if, but if Worsfold got Essendon up for a flag, he’d move surely into the top echelons of MCG folklore.

Should have one side of the ground immortalised with McGovern, Vardy, Ryan, Sheed. Throw in Willie and Maynard for the lulz.
Keep it simple, a statue of the umpire who paid sheeds mark :)

That old bloke who checks if you’re wearing a collar before you enter the members. He doesn’t miss.
He's a joy to watch, bobbing, weaving and on the odd occasion launching at people with scarves or coats obscuring the all important collar. It's good to see a bloke take his job so seriously. Hitler of the collar.

MCG was North's home ground for pretty much all of Carey's career. He played blinding footy there.

The Friday Night Footy element of the Gs history was pretty much started by Carey and co.
was the SCG also Norths home ground during that period? And Canberra? just how many home grounds can be claimed?

Sydney stuff started right at the tail of his time at us, year or two at most. Canberra after.

MCG was our home ground for the vast majority of his time, and he played footy there the equal of any of the all timers.
