Welcome 2018 draft pick 52: Welcome to Hawthorn Jacob Koschitzke

Love this pick. Essenscum recruiters fist pumping when we didn’t match their bid yet they didn’t think to consider - Ahhh why didn’t Hawthorn match the bid? Because money ball. Otherwise known as you get what you need at the right price. This is yet another example of Hawthorn’s Svengali like maneuvering. Look over here! Then slight of hand - we go and get the player we are really after. Welcome to the Hawks JK. You will be a star.

From a list balance perspective this is a great pick. Young key defenders who can mark are not a strength. Likewise key forwards obviously but you’re not getting a good one of those with only late picks.

How good he is, time will tell but purely from a positional point of view, he meets one of our real weak points.

I am glad we didn’t match the Mozzie bid. We are very well placed for small forwards with Wingard Breust Puopolo Moore and Hanrahan. And Nash as a pressure player too.

He knew we weren't going to match. He'd been told by GW already. Guess he's allowed to get excited by getting the kid.

His radio interview was a bit OTT. He sounded like he's just drafted Judd

Step aside Jeremey McGovern...

My first thought after seeing his highlights, was that he definitely looks to have a touch of the McGovern's about the way he reads the ball coming in, and in his build and movement with ball in hand.

If he can be 75% of the player WCE's J. Mc Govern is, we'll have done very, very well.

Hard to get excited about a pick in the 50s, but while others have drawn comparisons to Lisle's credentials with the AA selection... unlike Lisle, this Kid knows how to kick a football, and move laterally. Lisle had a horrendous kicking action, great hands and leap, but just no agility.

Hopefully Hawk's Kosi is not susceptible to concussions and being smashed in the noggin, that sorta ended the career of the Aints' one.

Keep in mind that it's probably as close to a win against the Hawks, as he's been for a long, long time.

We had a recent golden era, and the scum had a metaphorical, non-consential golden shower.

The dude looks like one of those TAB rats and he was acting like he'd just pulled off the quaddie with his last $20.

Yeh, but he’s 30 next year so according to Bigfooty he is cooked
I've recently learnt that on the stroke of midnight of their 30th birthday, footballers are suddenly hit with crippling injuries and physical impairments that leave them as feeble as new born kittens despite what their supercoach (and even real coaches) will tell you.
