We dont have to dream about you winning the spoon, it happens enough.Keep dreaming
You lot are pretty sure of yourselves, don’t forget how 2018 turned out after the 2017 GF shellacking. We dont have to dream about you winning the spoon, it happens enough.

Enough talking s**t with you lot , we’ll revisit this discussion round 23 next year
Sep 1998.When was the last time you smiled?
48 points is not a great result, how much did you lose to us by again last year ??You lot are pretty sure of yourselves, don’t forget how 2018 turned out after the 2017 GF shellacking.

Points have no relevance, unless a club requires them for academies and father-sons.Not going to bother to explain what relevance points have ,by your comments you seem to ignorant to understand.
As far as being a joke well let’s see
- from GF to missing the 8
- preseason camps
- power ranger stances
- Pykes 3/4 time addresses
- Humiliation in a Grand final
Sure I’ve missed plenty
Melbourne should have been in the finals in 2017 and were clearly trading to ensure they were in 2018 - hence us getting TWO picks for Lever.Didn’t we do this last year with Melbourne. Not the desired outcome when their pick was ultimately worst than ours which they had.
You're the worst team in modern football.Keep dreaming
Literally nothing we do has any affect on the team. This thread is the equivalent of shouting at the umpires on telly.First death riding, now spending the pick we don’t have yet.
Way to summon the karma bus.
Except Carlton could have done all those things, AND kept their pick four. This could be a true win-win trade. If you finish 4th, Carlton 15th, you have got pick 4 for 15,19 a win for Adelaide. But Carlton also win, they might have won say 7 -9 games with big improvements from their Young players, greatly impressing players like cognilio, Josh kelly. If they can sign cognilio for free, the trade is effectively 4 for 15,19,cognilio- a great outcome for carlton.
We were the minor premiers in 2017, and won 12 games in 2018 with shocking injuries. You lot are pretty sure of yourselves, don’t forget how 2018 turned out after the 2017 GF shellacking.

s**t, that's a sad life.Sep 1998.
The anxiousness is all yours....see you thenWe were the minor premiers in 2017, and won 12 games in 2018 with shocking injuries.
With some injury improvement and our easier draw - well, we look forward to talking with you again in August.
Does being a pick 5 automatically make you better than a pick 19? What a stupid assumption!Except Carlton could have done all those things, AND kept their pick four.
Stocker won't contribute to a win next year. He'll be lucky to play five games, and risking a top five pick to get a pick 19 midfielder is incredibly foolish.
You don’t get it, do you? It’s just about proven there’s a better chance of getting a 200 game player in the top 5 than there is anywhere else, especially in the very late teens. Top picks are generally regarded more sure thingsDoes being a pick 5 automatically make you better than a pick 19? What a stupid assumption!
With that theory Kade Kolodjashnij at Pick 5 should be streets ahead than Cripps at pick 13 in the 2013 draft and masten at 3 should be better than Rioli at 12 in the 2007 draft.
No it does not but what differentiates is the clubs player development program and a pick 13 in our system is very much more likely to be a hit as is a pick 4 than at a club that has not had a great track record of late for player development. There is generally less risk of failure the closer to pick 1 at the pointy end of a draft you go even for the poorer player development clubsDoes being a pick 5 automatically make you better than a pick 19? So on plain value of picks (no not points value), a top 4-5 pick is a huge get
Ask Essendon if they’d swap Parish pick 5 and Francis pick 6 for Charlie Curnow pick 12 in the 2015 draftYou don’t get it, do you? Love how Carlton posters are saying ‘it’s not pick 19, it’s Liam Stocker, and we rated him top 10’
We could just as easily say the guy we get at Carlton’s pick is #1 on our draft board next year. We can twist the facts so that we win the trade, too!!
Okay, let's look at the number of superstars of the competition taken between 1-5 over the past number of years (counting from 2000-2013)2006
Shaun Grigg 19 (214 games) Gumbelton 2 (35 games) Thorp 6 (2 games)
2007
Alex Rance 18 (199 games) Harry Taylor 17 (237games) Cale Morton 4 (76 games)
2008
Luke Shuey 19 (177 games)
2009
Mitch Duncan 28 (180 games) morabito 4 (26 games) Butcher 8 (31 games) Moore 9 (60 games)
2010
Harley Bennell 2 (83 games) Isaac smith 19 (181 games)
I can keep going but I can’t be bothered....the above are facts...keep arguing
