No big predictions.....maybe one. I think the tigers had their "aura" shattered prelim night. I don't think they will carry the same intimidation factor or sense of invincibility they had for a brief time.
Nah,we had gastro.

Biggest shock: A player will come out as gay, the world will not end, in fact the public response will be genuine and heartwarming, he'll be applauded onto the field the next game after the news breaks.

Biggest controversy: Weather will close an airport for a few days, meaning an interstate team can't get to Melbourne for their game, AFL will stuff up the response in their own unqiue way.

Certainty: The Josh Kelly contract story will run all season with wild speculation based on sightings of him at cafes, traffic patterns between Melbourne teams' training grounds

Impossibility: Agreement that all rules are working well, and no further changes are needed.

Other:
North and Essendon will playing a thrilling high scoring draw on Good Friday, the AFL will then mandate the two clubs as permanent fixtures.

Surprising that some are saying WC to finish top of the ladder but not make the grand final. Who's going to beat them in an away final? WC have made the grand final every time they've finished top 2
Who knows how teams will match up in 2019? Just cause other years something hasn't happened doesnt mean it wont this year.

Way too early to rule it out in any case.

I always love these threads when the premiers, up and coming teams, rebuilding teams, and every team in between is written off and their respective supporters get offended.

Relax, Eagles fans - who gives a s**t what people on BigFooty think anyway? Anything can happen on the day (ask Richmond supporters), nothing is a certainty, and just because we are more likely to win a final at home compared to away doesn't mean we always will. We got thumped in a home final just two years ago. Learn some humility and modesty ffs.

This is almost a certainty to happen now.

Of course it could happen but odds are it wont as history as shown.
History wont mean much to a 2019 final there though, it has no relevance how the 05 or 06 Eagles or even the 18 Demons went, if they shoot up the ladder in 2019 or another team does.

Richmond looked safe as houses as winning at the MCG this year, until they didnt. With the competition so even at the moment I'd take nothing for granted in 2019.

This is almost a certainty to happen now.

Think about it. Dogs/North/Saints/Blues vs WCE/Freo in one of those 1.10PM Saturday games at Marvel.

Weather closes Perth Airport all Friday. WA team can't fly.

Are they meant to get a red eye with the time difference Sat morning, and then play three hours after getting off a four hour flight?

There's plenty of permutations.

I just hope when it does pan out, its like Essendon or Collingwood or Richmond who are meant to be flying to WA who get held up.

The AFL then goes into some panic mode and with Eddie/the Essendon Media Mafia/1,000,000 Richmond fans on social all going bananas, dream up some bullshit solution that means the WA team lose their home game.

Mostly to see how Kwality reacts.
