39. 1st round pick
41. 2nd
44. 3rd
45. This is Naish's current number..
49.4th

I wouldnt be surprised if Bolton changes number as well. 29 is obviously a great number at the Tigers but Shai may feel he needs a fresh start.
It may be a year or two early for CCJ & Balta.
I would like Graham to get a better number but he seems like a no fuss guy who suits 34

Ideal NEW Numbers:
13.
Ryan Garthwaite (next to Astbury)
16. Connor Menadue (next to Houli & Short)
20. Callum Moore (next to Lynch)
21. Noah Balta (near Lynch)
24. Callum Coleman-Jones(next to Nankervis)
26. Ivan Soldo (next to Nankervis)
27. Ben Miller
30. Patrick Naish
32. First pick
36. Second pick
37. Third pick
38. Fourth pick
39. Liam Baker
40. Rookie pick 1
41. Rookie pick 2
42. Rookie pick 3
44. Rookie pick 4

Move every senior listed player inside number 32, leave McIntosh Broad and Graham with their premiership numbers. First pick gets 32, second pick 36, third pick 37 and fourth pick 38. Rookies take 39-44.

Each year as players leave the previous years draftees move up unless we bring in a free agent/trade who already wears a number i.e. Lynch taking 19.

13 is a s**t number.
Give Garth 20. Then Lynch will have Rance and Garth either side of him.

I'm pretty sure I read Higgins would stay in the #28 as it was specifically assigned to him for reasons I can't remember - he skipped the whole "earn a lower number" for some reason.

I like the "earn your stripes" rule, except for when we seem to ignore it for particular players...

Unallocated Numbers:
13. - Noah Balta (this number needs a break and 1 above Richo is not a bad thing)
16. - Ryan Garthwait (kid needs to be closer to Rance)
20. - CCJ (just looks like a #20 type)
21.
24.
26.
27.
30.
32.
39.
41.
44. - I like this number but suits a fast small so next under 180cm we select
49.
50.

I personally like he 'earn your stripes" mantra the Club has, given then i'd say no upgrades this yr (Higgins already has a "low" number)

My prediction on new numbers
13 will remain empty
16 - goes to our hybrid ruck fwd,,, CCJ
19- Goes to our big tuna Lynchy
20- young ivy gets old ivys number congratulations ivan soldo
21 - remains with premiership hero jacob Townsend
24- goes to my fav yong player Noah Balta
26- goes to our new star R C D,
27 - Goes to Jack Ross ( 3 oakley charger boys including higgo together),
30- goes to big garth ( looks good in st Francis jumper)
32 - goes to young funky Miller
38- goes to frazer turner
39- goes to fellow draftee luke english
40- goes to young liam baker
41- stays with 2 phone's chol
42- goes to young artsy fartsy, jake aarts
43- stays with egg

Garthwite is definitely ready for a bump number wise 16, 20 or 21 would suit

I still think last years recruits need one more year in the system before they get moved up just to see how they progress

I would say Graham should get a lower number but since he won a flag in his current number I can see him keeping it for his entire career

I would never change my number if i won a premiership wearing it.
#34 Jack Graham make that number yours
#13 Jack Higgins
#16 Noah Balta
#19 Tom Lynch
#20 Riley Collier-Dawkins
#30 Garthwaite (spirit of st francis)
#32 Jack Ross (Dangerfield who )
#26 Aarts - Miles team mate so nice touch
#24 Fraser Rurner Turner
#41 Luke English

#5 Callum Coleman Jones in 2020 when Brandon Ellis leaves as a free agent end of 2019 to gold goast / north

Me, I like the "earn your stripes" concept. And as I played every game from juniors up in #13 - there's nothing wrong with it as a number. I always thought it was much better than 40+, which was the only other option when I got it (and no-one ever wanted to take it off me). And all the premiership players should keep their numbers - they're legends in them.

I'd like to see:
13. Garthwaite - in my opinion, he's going to have the best career of all the ones due for a number upgrade this year
16. Moore
20. Soldo
21. Townsend
24. Weller
26. - vacant
27. - vacant
28. Higgins
(make it your own, son)
30. - vacant
- waiting for someone to truly earn it
32. RCD
36. Ross
39. Turner
41. Chol
42. English
44. Aarts
47 .
Whoever else they pick up to fill the last spot (?Stack)

To be honest don’t really get this fixation with number changes and the inference that number 1 is better than 44.

Surely the deeds on the field by someone wearing yellow and black are more important.
