Wait what?

Horse, Harley and co went to a world leading sports medicine hospital and didn't take Sam Reid?

"Reported". What an unpleasant image. That's the sort of thing I'd expect on the #lolCameNinf Board.

Manbuns aside, which should be banned, I don't have a big problem with creative haircuts provided that the people sporting them are getting a kick.

Same with beards etc. I didn't have a big problem with Shaw and Malceski's beards but I was furious with Demons players on behalf of their supporters when they were strutting around with club beards whilst not giving a yelp on the field.
Yes its a rule - if you look ridiculous you have to play well. One that I always breached in my prime unfortunately

Well, contrary to what I said last night in my over tired mood, no problem at all with a man bun & most look pretty cool, so apologies if I offended.
But Aliir & Naismith's 'efforts' over the last few years? Give me a spell. The circus is in town & you better hit the ground running Aliir or you'll cop a deserved caning from all & sundry. Seriously though, what if he does end up taking the mark of the century with that haircut & people in 80 years time look at the 'famous' picture of him with that hair style in the Swans jumper?

I shudder to think. Then again, we look back at some of our 80's haircuts like Derm's & Ayre's................scary sh.t that stuff.
In 80 years it's gonna be too hot to have opinions on people's hair from a century ago.

No matter how dross weasel I looked, I managed to play worse.

Should have been done months ago. When Horse goes he should take our Un-fitness team with him.

I have no idea how you can make such a claim. What are your medical qualifications? So you have access to Melican's health records?

The answers are none and no, aren't they? If so you are just spouting uniformed BS.

Not sure which you’re referring to, but if Melican, i’m no expert but I can’t imagine it would be good for his recovery from hamstring issues to be simultaneously undergoing surgery on a knee. That just seems like a bit of an ordeal for an athlete’s body. It’s possible they may have waited for him to recover from his hamstring concerns before doing surgery on his knee.

Or maybe he injured his knee while training once he had recovered from the hammy, in which case no one but s**t luck is to blame. I’m just spit-balling here.

Long injury list already including Franklin, senior players in decline, temporary training grounds, only picking up fringe (possibly useless) players from other teams in the trade period. Then I think a back to some of those seriously horrible losses in the second half of last year ... Gold Coast, Geelong, Richmond, Essendon, GWS ...

I think this could be our first really bad year in a long time. I dont blame anyone, it is just the reality of a socialist competition and how well we have done for so long to stay up the top. I think our medium term prospects are very bright with the amount of good young players we have, but next year could be tough.

Hmmmm. Agree, though socialism embodies optimism about the potential of humans. I will go

Eh

If that’s the case then so be it as I think it will become very good in 2020/2021.

But I remember thinking all doom and gloom after 2015. We’d had a shambles of a season where we never looked like contenders (yet still finished fourth? #equalisation), we lost a heap of senior experience (including our GOAT), we’d been embroiled in sagas all year (the Goodes debacle, Buddy’s mental health and the BS conversation around it, the mass injury crisis in September, the COLA crap) and we’d also been humiliated in a grand final the prior year. It felt like it could only go down from there. Then in 2016 we rejuvenated the playing list and the best 22, and suddenly this newfound sense of buoyancy infected the club and took us to a grand final.

Not saying that’s what will happen in 19, but our club has a very high standard and seems to breed competitiveness from within. They may spring a surprise on us
