Someone handed me a newspaper the other day and my eyes glanced from the article they wanted me down to read to one about how Kade Simpson thinks he can play passed age 35.

If Doch keeps tearing the ligament, Old Man Simpson might be relevant forever.

You'd think Simmo has to slow down on his output this year

Truly believe Milera is a special talent. 1st in time trial and looks in top shape. If he's at ~420k I'll probably pick him, pending on a few pre season reports.

Where do his extra points come from tho?
Laird already hogs the pill back there, MCrouch/Sloane/BCrouch (if alive) you'd expect to all average 100+, maybe Gibbs as well.
Doodee is only gonna get better, Smith is coming back too.

To be fair Jcpdragonx ...Milera is training with the midfield group over the PS

Old Man bathes in the blood of Carlton virgins. Those rookies will only fuel him more.

Milera averaged 92 post bye last year and his preseason is looking promising. For 430k I like it a lot. Top 10 defender? Probably not, but worst case he goes D7 and makes some money. I've never been one to spend big in defense, last year I started with 1 premo there, and finished with the top 6.

Laird, Milera and Smith will all rotate with each other between the Wing, HB and Mids (although Laird wont be on the wing).

That makes him a lock :padlock:

Grant Birchall is training but very lightly so far.
Sadly, for a bloke who barely missed games n the early part of his career, the last 2 years has been injury prone.
For me he is a watch only, as I'll love him to get back to his best but have severe doubts.

Sam Docherty - such a sad horrible thing to happen, he would've a lock in my and most sides.

I wonder if the Blues have a replacement - besides the likes of Simpson and Newman.
Who could take his place?

So sad for Docherty, but the new AFL rule of a SSP player is made for such tragic situations.
The Blues should look for the best option to use this rule and hopefully he can be a gun for them.

Wonder what price Birchall and other potential backline bargains will come in at.

Read on twitter that he was gonna be 242k. Dunno if it was 100% tho.

SC silver lining, second year Carlton rookie HBFer Angus Schumacher should get games at some point in 2019. Was 117k this year & didn't debut so 102k next yr?
