Newman's a near certainty now.

Clangerfiel;d in the FWDS, the other Paddy, TMitch and maybe Kelly maybe Grundy

Dusty DPP?

Dusty missed out. 35% fwd time required, he was in the low 30s (same with Bont).

Not sure if Kelly will have a full preseason, he's a maybe for me.

Tich, Danger, Heeney, Grundy, Williams, Newman all locks.

Yep Newman played ten games this year, surely he doesn't get a discount. Doctor SuperCoach's spreadsheet has him at $399k, he'd be around that.

Kelly's 2018 scoring actually has taken him out of my side. I know he struggled with injuries but 8/15 games he played he didn't hit the ton. At $625k you are paying a serious premium for his 205 against Carlton. I'd rather take in Oliver.

I told myself I wouldn't take any of Collingwood's midfielders but at 530k, I reckon Taylor Adams represents some awesome value. 111 average across the last two months of the season and finals. He's a club leader who leads from the front and isn't one whose scoring will be impacted upon by teammates. He's a determined bloke leading a club in premiership contention - I'm all over him at this point.

This is my current side using Doctor SuperCoach's spreadsheet - simply go to the FaceBook page and make a cancer council donation and they will email it to you.

Not sold on Mumford, probably will need to upgrade him eventually which will be tough.

Libba confirmed 300k. Still unsure, see how his preseason is.

Newman 294k - keys please
At that price, you’d have to think seriously about Newman .... if Libba is serious about his footy this year, and I think he is .... $300k is great value

Pretty sure Newman will be 390k based on his average last year. Think this 290k being spread just came from a typo on twitter.

No chance I’m picking him at that price.

Most of Kelly’s poor scoring was at the start of the season when he was playing injured. There’s a clear difference between his scores before and after his injury lay-off.

I’d be cautious of any Collingwood mids as well. That midfield runs deep, their defence not so much. Could see him ending up spending minutes at half back. Plus even when he is in the mids he’s got a lot of competition for points.

Edit: just looked back through Kelly’s scores, definitely wrong about his poor scores coming early. Might have to re-asses his position in my side.

Yes with Collingwood mids too ... what impact of Beams return ?

Some serious depth there, which should impact scoring

Don't usually pick many mid pricers but damn, wouldn't mind starting Libba, Birchall, Greene, Daniher, etc this time round .

Hi campaigners, back into it and planning starts now.

Locks:
DEF: Whitfield, Williams
MID: Dusty, Oliver
RUCK: Grundy
FWD: Dangerfield, Greene

PODs I’m strongly considering:
-Beams: call me crazy, but will be tag-free for the first time in a long time, will have Treloar, Adams & Pendles feeding it to him, I expect Collingwood to finish top 4 again so more wins, more goals (expecting a Dusty type role)... if remains injury free, can see a 115+ avg.

-Anthony Miles: IF Gold Coast release him in the mid, expect a 90+ avg. Played 1 game last year and scored 90. Dominated the VFL. Has absolutely no trouble finding the ball. Could be a steal at the right price.

Kelly may have only scored seven centuries but he scored between 90-99 five times. He has no floor. Like Danger, doesn't seem to get tagged out of games, and his ceiling is an open roof.

I reckon everybody has forgotten his existence but Dylan Roberton should be priced at no higher than 300k. I have no idea how his pre-season has fared or whether he will line up round one but he's yet another budget-friendly defender.

Teams could tag kelly now that Shiel is gone, he was the one teams usually tagged. I still think hes a gun though

He's participating in full training i believe. Obviously he is a bit of a watch health wise but at this stage he's been given the all clear.

Hanners a cert for me at this stage and a HUGE watch on Gresh depending on his price. Will be more mid than fwd in 2019

Taylor Adams won't play DEF. If he does, it won't be a lock down role.
He's a pure MID. Just forget that he was DEF/MID in 2017.

I won't pick him anyway. Beams will be the better scorer, albeit for a much higher price tag.

Is there a better 400k defender?
