Very exciting. That is a big improvement in one off season. Big upside.Shocked quite a few at the club by finishing 5th in today’s time trial. Massive tank and doesn’t take a backward step. Looking good, looking really good

Hawthorn has selected powerful midfielder Harrison Jones with its first selection in Monday night’s Rookie Draft.
The 183cm on-baller played for the Murray Bushrangers in this year’s TAC Cup competition, where he built a reputation as a capable midfielder who also has the ability to go forward and hit the scoreboard.
A fierce competitor with a strong appetite to win the contested ball inside the stoppage, Jones consistently accumulated large numbers of possessions throughout the season.
Jones also impressed at last month’s Draft Combine where he finished the standing and running vertical jump events fourth and sixth respectively.
Some Country boys may not receive the same level of development support as metro kids on account of having to travel long distances so in theory would have more upside than exposed form suggests. We are looking for inefficiencies in the market for talent and under developed talent is one option. Injured players is clearly anotherThat’s 5 players we have picked up in the last 3 Draft periods from the Murray Bushrangers. We must really rate their talent and players character from those neck of the woods. ( Harrison Jones, Harry Morrison, James Cousins, Jacob Koschitzke and Mat Walker )...

Think I remember reading a JKosi interview that the Bushrangers only train once a week due to distance. Perhaps you're right? The hawks may have identified a development shortfall and therefore a few players falling lower in the draft than they otherwise would have. Sounds a very Hawthorn like tactic. Some Country boys may not receive the same level of development support as metro kids on account of having to travel long distances so in theory would have more upside than exposed form suggests. Hope he continues to develop... one of those where the ceiling could be anywhere...
I haven seen anywhere near enough to make a call but the way he moves & his awareness around a stoppage is something to get excited for.
I haven't seen him play. Does he move like Jaeger?
In some of the best country leagues the state has to offer. Ovens & Murray, Goulburn Valley and Murray league. The upside of selecting Bushies is there a fair chance they have had significant exposure to senior football.

Love his commitment.
Good in congestion.
A good kick.
Absolutely is a footballer first.
AFL transferable skills with some size added.
Should get in a ripping Pre season & have, I’ll take a swing at it, 4-6 games to his name come end of 2019.
I would say a Worpel like player without the size, yet
Its always been AFL heartland even though they gave it to GWS
Absolutely!
