Fox Cricket commentary and coverage 2018-19

Fox seem to be chopping and changing between doing their own feed and just simulcasting 7's feed for the BBL - interesting.

They've done it the last 3 nights - they're taking 7s feed during the test match, and using their own guys in the studio between overs so they're still "ad free".

NYE was a 7 simulcast. Yesterday the day game was a 7 simulcast yet the night game was their own broadcast. There seems to be no logic as to when they do their own feed and when they just simulcast 7's.

they had a week or two break in between the Perth and Melbourne tests. Get the feeling that the main part of their team is attached to the test match circus for MCG and SCG. Expect the situation to improve after the Sydney test.

It doesn't have Michael Slater, who somehow got even worse after switching networks. So Fox Sports is still the better of the two. Has Isa too...

That's fair enough but i'd rather more to be like Ponting than any of those three.

Ponting is clearly the best commentator this Summer. And by some margin as well.

Ponting has been very good but was pretty biased to Australia in the earlier tests and pre-series.

That was a bit disappointing considering how he is a coach in the IPL.

I'd have him in the top 3.

Isa is without doubt the classiest person to ever appear on an australian cricket telecast. Sorry Richie .

With tonight's BBL match, I'm not sure why Fox Cricket think it is preferable to call the game off the television rather than take the Seven feed in full.

Seems like they just can't work out the best way to cover the BBL, which isn't doing lot for the promotion of the series this year.
