I’m wondering what everyone else’s take on our turn around on field along with most people’s view and expectation of our team vs this time last year.
I’m sure this time last year, most if not all of us were setting up to be ready to put Bucks back on the chopping block and give him a mighty shove out the door as our coach. Especially after our 1st & 2nd round losses.
But what happened? What changed from there that propelled us into the Grand Final? Understanding injuries and other teams fortunes played a part in ours.
What in our control though put us a kick away from the ultimate Glory and why all of a sudden are we contenders?
We added some more to our coaching team, didn’t add much to our list (remembering lots kicking and screaming about our trade/draft period in 2017).
This year, mainly adding Beams and not too much more on or off the field. Not including our prospective drafted talent and depth Ruck/Defender in Roughead.
So, how did we succeed last year to be runners up and how do we keep that momentum this year and not be like Crows circa 2018?
