Hey Gil, if the whole idea of AFLX is to make it easier to play AFL(ish) at grassroots and overseas, you probably don't need to try and sell it as a TV product. If it's convenient, people will adopt it. God knows no one will be converted from watching it.

It's like the anti-2020 of football. Instead of taking all the exciting things about the game and packaging them into the length of a movie or a night out for dinner to appeal to casual fans they've taken all boring s**t from AFL and made it into a game that's too short to enjoy. Complete waste of time, I'd rather watch Fyfe tie up his man bun for 40 minutes.

1) Nothing wrong with comparing Liam and Harley's off field issues, except is should be noted that if they were both on a road trip to Sydney, Liam is just pulling into Norseman with a broken tail light while Harley is on top of the harbour bridge with his nob out waving it at passers by.

2) punching down on Freo fans while we're riding high and they're struggling could be seen as a bit weak.

I don't think he's trying to make it popular, he's just trying to get SOME interest because the current level is 0, and the market's so large that even being the fifth biggest sport would be a fortune.

Much like Western Sydney, only that market's smaller so they'd want to be second. Untapped potential, money-wise.
