That's probably what I'll do for the TV in the front room with the desktop. Still have to run a HDMI cable through the roof... Been meaning to do that for the last few years, but now I've gotta pull my finger out and get it done. Would be great if you could use your phone as a remote for pause, rewind etc rather than getting up to the PC each time.

You can, Ive been using Unified Remote for years mainly to control Kodi, great cheap app.

Kayo data usage per hour for live streaming 720p 2.5g, 1080p 3.25g, bit less for replays apparently.

So a game of footy about 10gig X 5 games a round X 4 rounds so about 200g per month + Netflix, all the illegal movies downloads & porn, geez my monthly 500g plan will be getting a workout...

So burned through 90% my 500g with 8 days remaining, cricket & NFL the main culprits, averaging around 20+gig a day, unlimited plan here we come...

I've signed up for the free trial and I'm very impressed with the quality so far. My internet is pretty average at the best of times and I'm having no issues at all with buffering so far.

Words can't describe how much I love the mini player you can set in the corner while you browse other websites. For someone who loves 'multi-tasking' on the net while I watch sport it's an absolutely fantastic feature. Got the SA v Pak Test match playing in the corner as I type this :thumbsu:

Hopefully an app is available for LG tvs by the time footy season comes around otherwise I might go for the expensive option of getting apple tv anyway.
Can you pause replay while watching live?

I remember reading that Kayo are developing apps for Smart TV's alongside their Console apps. They're currently working on a PS4 App, Xbox One App (although can watch Kayo via Edge browser currently) as well as apps for Samsung and LG TV's.

I wasn't overly confident, at first, since these manufacturers use in-house OS's rather than using Android TV, but Kayo said their market share was too large to ignore. Provided that they make these apps well, and in a timely manner, this service could be exactly what we've been wanting for years; if not better.

I use Kayo on AppleTV. Very happy with the content, etc, but the interface needs some work. It's been massively improved stability-wise (there were some obvious memory leakage problems early on causing the AppleTV to need a reboot every couple days) but still the interface design is off. They would do better to follow the TV station designs, particularly the way 7 has built their AppleTV app.

The iPhone app is extremely good. Design and stability. Even better, it streams to both ChromeCast and AppleTV. Very flexible for using at other people's homes.

I used HDipTV. $20 month and I get 7,000 channels including the (NFL, AFL, NHL, Rugby, NBA, UFC, MLB,) sports packages and every channel 7,9,10, GO, etc from every city in Australia, (Useful for Perth residents to get all the footy shows at a decent hour) plus every channel from the cable channels in the US and UK and a massive bank of on demand movies and tv shows. I download the android app on my Sony Bravia, log it in, and off I go with no streaming issues.

I've had no troubles and I use paypal.
Interesting that Paypal allows them to use their service. I've had a couple of companies 'struck off' over the years for ripping me off. Paypal were great.
