He doesnt want to be seen as backing a loser it diminishes his power.
This will hopefully be the first government that didnt have to kiss his ring.

In one of the early Flashman books, he's in a shooting party with Prince Edward, and including Bismarck and his son. Someone accidentally lets one fly a bit close to Otto Senior.
At which one of the guests mutters "For Chrissake, don't shoot him, the son's worse".

Rupert used to have a stature of Marx on his desk at uni and Lachlan quit at one stage saying no one needed more than $150g because they could never spend it.
The rest of the family went to Styner schools ,they werent always like this, the ones that died made massive donations in their wills to conservation groups and left wing organisations.

Just saw a new global scientific study, that shows alarming and potentially catastrophic consequences , hardly given a mention in the Murdoch papers.Front page has 4 articles on Labor,one on the Greens and it's mostly a fear campaign in border security.The Daily Mail was recentlty taken off the reliable news source list by wikipedia. Is it time for the rest of the science denying papers to be added to the list? Four out if five climate change articles in The Australian recomnend no reduction in carbon emmissions.The Herald Sun is similar.Should we cop this from our newspapers and what can be done about it?
 
Interesting topic in general because people are always complaining about media biases. Left wing this, right wing that, such and such is a mouthpiece for this party or that party.

Not nearly enough is said about the dreadful quality of journalism we have to endure these days. Give me a slanted piece that is well researched and well written over the clickbait nonsense that passes for news any day.
