A lot of really iffy companies on that list

Volkswagon - Responsible for one of the biggest cases of corporate fraud in recent decades
Equifax - Responsible for illegally collecting huge amounts of data from people all around the world
Qatar Airways - Qatar is responsible for some terrible human rights abuses
McDonals and Coke - Not too bad, but contributing to obesity.

ahhm how could you overlook channel 7?? Basil Zemphlais is a talking crime against humanity. Hamish Mac too but too dumb to be really offensive. Also, Lingy.

You forgot the STAR... it's a bloody casino! It's supporting us with the money it legally stole from the poor people!

That is capitalism kids. There is not one corporate whose feet are not made from clay.

Personally I would prefer we were wholly funded from memberships and sponsorship from Get Up and our players played for the jumper and a decent fair wage. But then, my meds (thanks pharma industries) cause much dreaming.

Not such a dream. That is the model of the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. Successful team owned by a smallish community of about 100,000 people up against the billionaires. They have over 300,000 shareholders with share ownership capped. The shares cant be traded and don't provide equity. There is a thirty year waiting list on memberships and people actually will their memberships to next of kin. They have won 13 championships the most in NFL history. This should be the model for the Swans especially after the private ownership disaster and AFL throttle on the club.

Well to be fair, the poor people do donate it to them!

A lot of the money would be from rich peeps from Asia.

Hi
Aye. Great model.

LOL plenty of Saints fans not happy with Hanners in their leadership group. There’s no one on that dud list whose tougher, had more finals experience, and accomplished more in their careers than Dan Hannebery!

rofl ... most successful member of the Tainted's leadership group for many decades.

The Tainted are a team buried in the merde of a diabolical history. Brereton is right about them. Lyon carried them into a GF which they lost in the replay. The grotesque Thomas screwed their prospects by being thoroughly outcoached by Roosy in the 05 PF. They sacked Alves a season after getting them into a Grannie.

Of course their 15,000 fans are imbued with a losing culture. No wonder they object to supporting the appointment of Hanners.

The weird thing is they didn’t seem to protest much when they recruited him, like that was a good strategy. I’d be less pissed off about a premiership player, Norm Smith medalist, 3x All Australian being in the leadership group, and more pissed off about carrying the 800k contract of a banged-up player.

Yes, I know who you work for... (stalker! Lol) you've told us before with the alcohol comments :p

Sorry, but have you noticed how the biggest clubs are situated in the poorest areas? I HATE pokies! (Did you guess?)

Yep, I'm aware, but if we're going to call out some, lets not forget that bloody casino!

Coke like, murdered people trying to unionise and get safer work and better wages in Colombia a few years back and McDonald's is conducting wage theft in Brisbane right now.

Ohh but I didn’t explicitly state it! Stalker indeed lol ;)

I actually wondered if anyone was paying attention :)

I am not a big fan of ‘gaming’ either. I think though that the biggest clubs aren’t in the poorest areas by design per se, they have been around a longtime. I will concede though that they have grown to be the biggest clubs because of the desperation of lower socioeconomic in the areas they reside.

My job is specifically to account manager these bigger clubs and pub groups, so I know exactly what you mean. Most of the major clubs realise that gaming is actually declining is overall spend per bet (not patronage) and they are having to diversify into other areas particularly in significantly improved dining experiences.

Pretty sad regularly seeing those buttons being pressed though.

Well two. She played for Collingwood and now North. Better goal average than our champion Reid. A wonderful role model of persistence, courage to be who you are for girls and all of us. Pity she's tied up with that criminal outfit NAB.

NAB, Filth and the Lollers. What a Trifecta of abject misery.

I suppose in the absence of a Bloods AFLW team I expect Hope has no hope(*) of being associated with a credible outfit.

(*) Apologies for the poor pun. I am planning to self report.

I'm getting the impression that Zak Jones might be gone at the end of the year. I don't think he's gonna get enough midfield time as he wants and I get the sense that he isn't as loved by the coaches as other young, potential hybrid midfielders. Mills, Hayward, Florent, Papley I think are all liked more by the coaches.

Be stupid to let one of the only line breakers to go

You might be right. Zac has great dare and the pace to break through lines, but I have not seen much evidence of a great footy IQ. Attribute wise, he is not a see ball get ball type, despite his physicality. Most of the blokes Horse apparently is running through the mids are notable for their footy IQ and discipline.

I am not sure where Zac's best position is.
