Yup you’re spot on, but what you say is a logical train of thought. I mean, why would it be imperative we have our best players playing, particularly guys who are mids needed to replace the Mitchell loss? Damn ridiculous eh?

Goes without saying. Wingard MUST play round 1 is as valid as Stratton MUST play, or Gunton MUST play. It just doesn't mean anything significant... Just hyperbole.

Why some people are smartarses about that seems personal. Doubt the scoreboard will be intangible if we miss both Mitchell and Chad for any length of time. Fingers crossed Chad is good to go Rd1.

You’d think he’ll be ok for round 1, it would be surprising if he wasn’t but calfs are very annoying, tends to be a bit of an old mans injury, I couldn’t get mine right my last year of footy at 30 and ended up pulling the pin. He may just struggle with the load, if he is used to running 11-12km a game and all of a sudden he goes to 14-15 that’s a substantial jump and his body may be rejecting it.

Super important we start the season off well, a tough opening, we really need Chad up and going.

Silver lining?? Well, at least the Chad has had plenty of time laying low for a few weeks getting his Fortnite fix, so he can put it away for 6 months when season starts.
