Toast Hawthorn have headf***ed everyone

Its just the vibe.
Just parroting the same lazy s**t that most commentators go with
No, it's not.

It's repeating a misinformed lie. It's lazy, it's complacent & it's incorrect.

He does work for Fox, not exactly an organisation that prides itself on facts, or integrity.
I'm trying not to conflate issues, but yes, you have a salient point there.

Given the amount of head knocks he sustained throughout his career, can we really blame him for the things that come out his mouth?

If any player has a civil claim regarding concussions it would be Jono Brown. Clearly showing signs of sustained brain trauma.

Even with his head injuries, Jono Brown still one of the smartest people out of Warrnambool.

Perfect commentator for FoxFooty really.

;)

Help me out here please legends. Who on our current list arrived through free agency?
  • Frawley
  • Henderson (although delisted FA, so anyone could've taken him)
  • Minchington (Delisted FA too???)
Anyone else? Running through the senior list, Mitchell, Impey, McEvoy, Burgoyne, O'Meara, Ceglar, Gunston, Wingard, Scully, Scrimshaw were all trades, yeah?

“Hawthorn have exploited free agency better than anyone” - Jono Brown. How does this keep getting accepted as fact?

Perception.

Everything is created twice, first in the mind and then in reality.

Could it be that the introduction of free agency also affects trading and Hawthorn exploits it so well that we only need the perceived threat of players using it, to actually benefit from it.

I see it as a compliment as we are so good at using it we don't even need to wait for players to qualify for it.

Brown is half right. Free agency has freed the transfer market up and lake, wingard at least were traded for return that wouldn’t have been available the following year when they became free agents

If that was the case then your theory would also be applied to 17 other sides. That is not the case and it’s tiresome hearing it repeated time and again as truth
