Now that I think about it, it’s been a disappointment of an off season overall.

His disposal is fantastic but the problem with him will forever be he will never win the 50/50 ball and he hasn't really used his pace throughout his career either.

The blokes skills have never been in question, and never winning the 50/50 ball is a symptom, the root cause of that is he is soft as butter and was never 100% committed to footy. The most suprising part of that article to me is that he went on a solo 2 week training session, sounds ominous but I guess the proof will be in the pudding round 1.

He'll play a few decent games and then the port coaching staff will be lauded as visionaries, then he'll drop off again. Reminds me of Howe who played his last 1.5 - 2 years with us in defence and was decent, went forward at the pies, then sent back and has been great ever since. Buckley was lauded for finding his niche spot, for some reason a lot of people still, including commentators, have no idea Howe played a lot down back for us.
