Very interesting that after such a good start to the match Hind would only play 53% game time (had only 1 possie in the 3rd quarter and 0 in the last).

Like Dunstan, Hunter had some good numbers per minute of game time.

Only played 59% of the game, yet had 8 CP's (out of his 15 possies), 4 clearances (equal-3rd most for us), 5 tackles and marks, 4 intercept possessions, a goal, and a very healthy 54 pressure points (3rd for us, and 4th-most on the ground).

Roma also very impressive pressure numbers. 6 tackles and 52 pressure points (4th for us, 5th on ground).

Woken up to the Paddy Robbo news. Not good, not good at all. I’ve not been worried by any injuries lately, but this has startled me a bit. The Robbo one resonates with me because I had a pacemaker inserted four years ago due to heart failure. I certainly had moments of feeling wonky before I got it. Due to low blood pressure and blood not getting to the noggin.

Can only think Robbo has erratic heart beat, and when it gets low he has trouble. I do not have trouble now as drugs and my device are godsends. But playing elite sport is another thing. Really hope for him. He has been terrific to have back, but has a young family so footy not the most important thing. Fingers crossed for both boys.

It doesn't matter if contact is trivial or not if you're going back with the flight and not looking at the ball. If you make any body contact at all and they see it, they pay it.

Paddy probably figured he'd either mark it or get a free, but he really needed to crunch Daniel with his knee in that instance.

As for the lop-sided count, frees inside F50 were a whopping 9 to them and 2 for us!

Yeah, by the way I was saying I thought it was technically a free kick - just that it was contact that was barely noticeable and so the free kick was just barely there. Probably gave the wrong idea by saying trivial.
As for the free kick count, it was frustrating but a lot of them I thought were actually there. I didn't actually think the umpiring was terrible on the day. Frustrating, but not terrible.

I’m not sure about those stats. Two frees to Paddy and one to Sinclair for goals. All well within 50.

No the decision to play is surely made by the player. The club provide all the information they can. Obviously if the information says he will end up in a wheel chair if he plays they wouldn’t pick him but if everything points to being ok then the player says yes or no. That’s why some retire and others don’t.

Just watching the first quarter agai. We looked pretty good and actually should have been further up, missed a few good opportunities.

Parker has got a pretty good kick on him too, that kick to Marshal was fantastic.

Also Rooey seemed to be on the Marshal and Hind bandwagons.

That's really great/relieving news for the boys and their families and the club Stavro.

My heart sank last night when I heard what happened to them both.....it sank even further when I read this morning that both were in hospital last night for observation......my mind went straight into "worse case scenario"

When I read about Robbo last night....my mind flashed back to watching him and his 3 kids on the oval after the intra a few weeks back.....I thought last night if there's the slightest doubt on things.....give it way for yrs and your families sake.

I thought the same thing when Rooey was knocked out back in 2017.

I guess we'll have to wait what the official prognosis is for both of them.
