I'm sure he did have (and still does have) many unofficial contacts with the club which shaped his opinion. He was quite severe on Wingard at the time.

Sad news if I have understood your post correctly BF.

Thanks for giving me an introduction to Michael 2 or 3 years ago at Alberton Oval, in the Quinn stand, and the subsequent chats after that. I read his stuff for years on here and TPFP. I will miss his contributions.
