Either way, your kids will probably end up in some 9-5 office job where their only function is to help their multi-million dollar company achieve a slightly bigger profit for the year. They'll work laboriously to earn that next promotion so they can afford a more expensive TV or maybe a secondhand BMW. Then they'll get married to someone that they'll eventually grow to detest, and they'll s**t out a couple of kids. They'll never accomplish any of their dreams, never break out of their mundane career, and then eventually they'll die.

You sound cynical. Too cynical.

But most private schools in could-be-anywhere sububia don't have that. The teachers aren't remarkable. Their appeal for parents is bored attention seekers get ****** off.

A private school in or near a s**t area is a better bet than a public one.

If you live somewhere that your kid is zoned to Mt Lawley, Churchlands, Shenton College, Rossmoyne, Willetton or Applecross you don't need to bother unless you want to fork out the $25k a year for a PSA network.

100%

This is also what’s frustrating. It demonstrates that public schools can deliver.

Surely further understanding what’s different between these schools and the others should be identified and widely published.

My punt the difference is the parents.

Ultimately its in the DNA/parents. If you can identify whether your child is going to be a high achiever or the dregs of society you can make suitable plans wisely.
Problem is high achievers can still be the dregs of society, and way more damaging
