Hooray! New season time! It's match-week! The off-season is over! Football's the winner!

In terms of jumpers though, it'd be nice to see Richmond roll out in the clash, and we'll also get a suss of Hawthorn's new 'Legends' jumper and possibly the Bounding Roo too*

and I heard the Dogs had announced a new partnership too? which will force the Swans into their clash

BL partnering with Neds, a subsidiary of Ladbrokes. Putrid-looking logo to boot.

If only it were financially feasible to return to the 2017 Majestic template, and swap Camperdown & Vero for double-sided Oaks.

I’d be surprised to see the bounding roo wheeled out against Fremantle given the blue back, we always wear our clash against them. Suspect they’ll be in their blue on white. I’d love to be wrong though.

They don’t have the blue on white this year.

Here's the source to the information: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl...return-at-brisbane-lions-20190317-p514xv.html
A corporate betting agency’s logo is set to appear on an AFL jumper for the first time since 2013 with the Brisbane Lions on the verge of signing a deal with online bookmaker Neds.

The Lions have been on the hunt for a replacement co-major sponsor after tech start-up SOOW allegedly failed to make payments pursuant to a partnership announced late last year.

The Age understands that Neds - founded by Gold Coast-based former pornographer Dean Shannon and purchased late last year by UK-based bookmaking giant Ladbrokes - are in advanced negotiations with the Lions about a deal whereby they would become co-major sponsors of the Lions with along with Oaks hotels and resorts.

And for reference, here's the Neds logo too:

I'd expect a rectangle version to appear on the jumpers in this white-on-orange style. I'm a fan of removing the box around logos and using just the text (in this case white text on the jumper) but due to possibility visibility problems I doubt that style will occur

Ordinarily I’d say that the clash with the back of the Bulldogs special jumper would be ignored/not noticed and that the Swans would still wear full home, but the Dogs jumper has had quite a bit of publicity with many media outlets pointing out the clash, so I think we may see Sydney in their clash.

Port silver, Hawthorn “heritage”, West Cost peril, North bounding roo. Richmond should be in clash but won’t be.

I'm surprised Richmond hasn't begun embracing their clash yet. It's a really nice jumper: it looks great in person and on TV, and they wore it in a Premiership. Once they won the Grand Final wearing the jumper I'd have thought they'd be more than happy to wear it as a nod to the flag, but obviously not

I'm surprised that betting sponsors are allowed, very strange that half the league doesn't have them considering the amount of cash they have.

I hope they aren’t allowed, though the desperate higher-ups at Brisbane haven’t realised this, and AFL House file an injunction ASAP.

Still think Norf will use their classic white jumper with royal stripes, the womens team used three this season.

I'm very anti-gambling advertising (it would go the way of tobacco advertising if I had my way), but given the amount of cash the AFL take from gambling companies, it would be extremely hypocritical to stop a club from accepting any.

Wishing right now that BetEasy had offered more for a stipulation in their AFL contract involving league-wide exclusivity.

Would love to see the peril with gold shorts. If Carlton were allowed to wear grey shorts with their grey guernsey, we should be allowed to follow suit. Will likely never happen though.
The rest of the comp couldn't handle the sheer majesty.
