So, Damian Barrett reckons that after 8 years of disappointment, Darling is "finally ready" to break out and be a reliable player. Uh... Did he watch a game last season? Was our most dominant forward in a premiership year, and turned the GF our way in the 3rd.

That whole article and Kings analysis is just so bad!! Could have been the best ever he laments!!! Amounts to; "had time stood still for another 10 seconds and a bunch of implausible low percentage things occured in perfect sequence while suspending the laws of physics Collingwood COULD HAVE WON"!
And who's the dickhead moaning when the Collingwood player gets within 3m of smothering Yeos kick in the centre square with 3 seconds left? Would take more than 3 seconds to gather and kick let alone roost it 100m for goal.

In fairness to Damo, Darling contributed nothing in those games he missed through injury last year.
Darling was a reliable A-grader last year. So, did Barrett watch a game?
He probably doesn't know half of our list exists. The narrative is that we're 'getting older' but Darling could 'suddenly explode'... look back and I'm sure we'll find this in every Victorian Eagles-prediction article since we lost the GF in 2015.

I had similar thoughts when I saw it. Felt like they were real mad that we won. Everyone vs eagles mentality.
Very salty.
Didn't mind it. Thought it may help give the boys more resolve.
