We could be facing a Richmond side in 2 weeks at Adelaide Oval sitting one win and two losses (they have GWS in Sydney next), certainly without Rance and possibly Riewoldt.

Huge game. We could just about end their top 4 chances.

And they were very close to missing Lynch for a large chunk to, lucky not to get the Collingwood player high.

Collingwood were 0-2 last year. West Coast 1-1. Port were 3-0. Making definitive judgments on teams this early in the season is foolhardy.
Which is why I cringed yesterday when I read Dwayne Russell's article, proclaiming that Port is a premiership threat after last week. Give it a rest Dwayne - at least until we knock off the Eagles in Perth!!!

I reckon Dwayne Russell is pulling a Kane Cornes. Says (insert club) will win the flag, just so they can tear into them when (insert club) doesn't.

Yeah well I wish he'd picked Geelong instead of us - tonight showed their win over Collingwood was pretty good.

It showed it was pretty jammy, just like every Geelong win is. It wasn't like Geelong dominated them or anything.

I'll be more than happy for them to be jammy again next week, if it means Adelaide heads into round 4 with a 0-3 record.

We were 3-0. Still, this board was melting hard. After R7, we were 4-3. Many here had seen it coming.

"But, later, we were 11-5," one might say. Yes, and people here were melting big time. We finished 12-10.

We judge with the informations at our disposal. New data may change our opinions. Do we really need to begin every statement with "currently"?

You can tell pretty quickly whether a game style is premiership capable.

Before the Geelong game (after Hammer got injured) I had stopped putting money each week on Port for the flag, cause I knew they weren't going to do it without Hartlett if they wanted to play that way.

We need him in the side when we play them, by the way. He'll give us the space required to get out the back.

Regardless of the style, after rounds 16 and 17, it got pretty clear we couldn't play ours. At that point, we should be executing it well, but we weren't. I have no idea whether the strategy could be effective because our team didn't have the ability to put it forth.

The loss against Freo was the defining moment for me. Up until then, I was hoping that we were holding a card on our hands; just to play it in the right moment. We had nothing. Everything had been just a humongous waste of time.

Jack Riewoldt out for two months with a scaphoid injury. Disastrous start to the season for Richmond. And gives us a real chance in Round 4.

Did we not beat them last year? I thought we did. Why are people saying it gives us a chance?

It didn't look great when he did it, then kept grabbing throughout the game, and rucking with the opposite hand, you knew there had to be break somewhere.

That forearm from Grimes is worth *checks fixture* two weeks' suspension IMO
It was intentional, and the contact was high. Two matches should be the minimum.

Truth be told, it was way worse than Thomas' bump on Lil' Sellwood last year (4 matches!!!!) or Jonas' bump on Dahlhaus in 2017 (2 matches). However, the system is corrupted.

If it were one of ours, he would probably be suspended for the rest of the season and prosecuted in a criminal court. Grimes doesn't play for Port, though.

Thus, considering that the Tigers play the Giants away, have lost two of their main players due injury, and just got demolished in a derby, I believe AFL will pretend it is OK to throw your elbow in full speed on the head of a helpless opponent.

He’s certainly not a smart ‘expert’ thats for sure. Actually wish he’d call less Port games when Fox are showing our games, it’s like he’s trying to regularly put the kiss of death on us...

I would have thought at round 2 as soon as he did it he comes off. It was clear he was injured badly when it happened. Courageous of Jack but stupid of Richmond to let him play on. Maybe he couldn’t make it worse not sure by why take the risk after Rance?

What a joke of a competition- crows & west coast the only non Victorian teams that consistently get looked after.
Watching footy commentary during a game and they made the comment that the Crows are the premier team in SA. KT has also said that's the VICs attitude. Bloody annoying, just because they were first in.

I wouldn't write Richmond off it's round 2 ffs I think Collingwood just match up well on them but there's improvement in the Tigers don't kid yourselves.

Their fixture is horrendous:

Vs GWS GS
Vs Port AO
Vs Sydney Marvel
Vs Melbourne MCG
Vs Western Bulldogs Marvel
Vs Fremantle OS
Vs Hawthorn MCG
Vs Essendon MCG
Vs North Melbourne Marvel
Vs Geelong MCG
Vs Adelaide AO

There’s not one game I’m confident that they would win in that list if they don’t have Rance and Reiwoldt.
