So based on the coaches notes from the NEAFL still no Corr so it will be interesting to see if he is named in the injury report tomorrow, I know the AFL.com had him as TBC so hopefully we have some news from the club about his injury
This is last week
Jye Caldwell Groin TBC I think the club will be conservative with him and maybe we could see him in the NEAFL in 2-3 weeks best case scenario
Aidan Corr Groin TBC No idea but hopefully some news as I thought he was mentioned after the JLT as being almost ready but I just want to see him playing
Lachie Keeffe Knee Test Played so all good and probably be back in defence for the richmond game with questions over Davis and Taylor
Josh Kelly Hip/knee Test Hopefully he is named and I will believe he is right to play when he is on the field for the first centre bounce
Zac Langdon Foot 3-4 weeks
Shane Mumford Suspended Round 3 Straight back in IMO
Jon Patton Knee TBC
Harry Perryman Punctured lung TBC Hopefully we get some news on his injury
Callan Ward Knee 2-3 weeks I think he will push for the Cats game

Toby Hopefully he is named and I will believe he is right to play when he is on the field for the first centre bounce
Taylor/Davis I dont think the club will risk Taylor for the tigers game but it could depend on Davis and his eye injury, I thought he missed a game a few years ago with a similar issue? And it could also depend on the line up the tigers look to name

Good to see the numbers on the list low and that no new injuries from the weekend. Hopefully Caldwell gets to play NEAFL although I still feel the club will be cautious with him and I think that is the reason for a few players missing pre season games and the non inclusion of a few that are ok to play, later on in the season I am sure it will be different but I feel it is a different approach to player management the club is taking
I still think Taylor is a chance to miss but we will see later on in the week

Yes, I think the medical staff are being quite cautious with some players this year - especially those who've had previously issues or may be heading for chronic problems. Makes for frustration come match selection time, but probably best long term ... provided they actually come back healthy in due course.

This all makes sense other than the approach with Greene. You could not have had a bloke with a more interrupted pre-season: sore pre-Christmas, found out that he had to have a late operation which put him back even further, scramble him to play in a JLT, a poster sees him limping pre-round 1 at the beach yet they still play him round 1, he doesn't pull up well and misses weeks again.

None of this sounds very cautious. And Leon was making comments in the presser that he might try to somehow train tomorrow in a wild attempt to be selected!!!

Will wait to see how it looks this afternoon when the club releases the injury report but looking at last weeks

Toby Greene Calf Test Hopefully he is right for the Cats game but it will be tough for him to step straight into the intensity and if it is the following week v the Dockers in Canberra I just want him to be effective in the games he plays
Zac Langdon Foot 2-3 weeks Closer to a return but again I think NEAFL in a fortnight is likely although it is an injury that can have setbacks so again hopefully he is not rushed back
Jonathon Patton Knee TBC Not sure where he is at with training but I cant see an update until he makes it back to contact training although I think he is in the States at the moment
Harry Perryman Lung TBC Hopefully we get a timeline for his recovery this week
Callan Ward Knee 1 week He will want to play this game and I can see him listed as a test and hopefully he can make it back for this game as his toughness will be needed although I wont be expecting miracles from him just a solid hit out if he gets up

Deledio Another setback and recovery for him and I can see a 6-8 week rehab period for him
Caldwell Hope to see him in the NEAFL this weekend where he will be a welcome addition IMO
Sheridan Disappointed for him doing his calf after the same injury in pre season and hopefully a 4 week recovery period and the medicos and him work out a better strategy for him to avoid a repeat
Cameron LC mentioned a corkie in his Shoulder/Back so hopefully he recovers to be effective v the cats although it wont be easy v the cats back 6
Hill Finally we find out it was a shoulder injury in the pre season and not sure if he is in contact training yet but still a few weeks away from any game time
Corr Finally back on the field and 40 minutes in the NEAFL so I would think he would step up to 3/4 this weekend

Toby Greene Calf Test
Zac Langdon Foot 1-2 weeks
Brett Deledio Calf 3-4 weeks
Tommy Sheridan Calf 3-4 weeks
Harry Perryman Lung TBC
Jonny Patton Knee TBC

Sounds like Ward is confirmed which is great news, Greene a chance but I still think the club will be cautious but missing one to make sure he is ok for the rest of the season is more important imo. I think Deledio will be longer than 3-4 weeks and it will be interesting to see what his stretch of games was last year? 5 early on and then 3 in the latter rounds I think
Patton is in the US to see a knee specialist and no update on Langdon or Perryman

Extremely unfortunate and hope the boys continue to battle hard for Ward. An inspirational player and will be a valuable leader off the field. A spot now opens up for Hately, Caldwell, Bonar or Shipley. Hope someone rises to the challenge to have a breakout year in Ward's absence.
