Whatever Wikileaks once was, it is absolutely not a force for accountability and transparency in government anymore. Its only purpose now is to serve as a dissemination outlet for weaponized half truths and the sowing of discord, all in the service of weakening the Western enemies of Vladimir Putin and his Russian government.
You probably need to switch tv stations as they’re slowly rotting your brain.
I’ll quote Glenn Greenwald here.
For people who have spent 3 years claiming that (1) WikiLeaks is an arm of Russian intelligence and (2) Putin controls Trump, how do you reconcile those conspiracy beliefs with the fact that it was the Trump administration that devoted itself with such vigor to indicting Assange?

An interview with Aaron Mate discussing Assange coming up, he won an Izzy award recently for debunking Russiagate bullshit.

Very impressive stuff how an old grown man had to be carried out, most people grow out of that behaviour when they leave the "terrible twos", well done!

At least he showed more fight than some of our players.

He's been arrested in a blatant display of state tyranny. Good on him for resisting as much as he could.

Despite that there isn't alot on wikileaks about Putin's false flag terrorism, all those dead Russian journos ior Putin alleged pedophilia.

Greenwald's media project (the Intercept) is rumoured to have snitched to the US government and sent whistleblower/weirdo Reality Wins or whatever her name is into some gulag for years.

Frankly if your names not Henry Okah and you're involved in this stuff you're full of s**t.

I reconcile it with the facts; it's not "Trump" looking to indict and extradite Assange. It's the hard-liners in the DOJ who were there during the GWBush years, the Obama years, and now the Trump years. Presidents change. Bureaucrats persist.

Yes, Trump directly benefited from Assange and Wikileaks. That's a simple fact that can not be disputed.

However this isn't about my feelings towards Trump's election. It's about facts.

Wikileaks had possession of emails from both the RNC and the DNC, but only released DNC emails.
Wikileaks knew the information likely came from Russia as an extension of influencing the US election and still decided to publish.
Wikileaks were offered the 'Panama papers' but declined them as a 'George Soros funded attack on Vladimir Putin'

etc etc etc.

I used to love Wikileaks back in the early 2000s when they were actually a bastian for truth. Sadly, the fact is that they've been corrupted into something so far removed from their original purpose.

Say what you will about the man Julian, Wikileaks still has 100% record in publishing and they can only publish what they get.

There’s also a massive section about Russia gangsta money in there.

Btw here’s a good article from Max Blumenthal about the intercept.

Please link all the facts you speak of,
Muller just spent 50m and three years yet he still couldn’t find anything like what you are suggesting. On the record you’ve got James Clapper stating the opposite.
What you are regurgitating is propaganda designed to dehumanise an individual.

Common behaviour from two year olds, I can't walk! I can't walk! But from an old man? Quite a performance!

Sure. I'll provide links you can click to see for yourself for each of the three facts I listed;

The Panama Paper were an attack on Putin (though I'd say more Langley than Soros).

Actually, we don't know that.
We know muller falsely tried to link Guccifer 2.0 to Wikileaks.
We know Roger Stone threatened Randy Credico tried to link Wikileaks to russia.
We also know that Muller or the fbi never looked at the DNC severs. Instead they trusted serial fabricators Crowdstrike to do the forensics.

But hey if you’re still believing that bullshit listen to the guys from VIPs (veteran intelligence professionals for sanity) they’ve called it for what is was.
Bill Binney he was the genius behind thintread.

Yeah, well... shockingly (and stay with me here), it turns out that Vladimir Putin may not be a great guy who believes in a meritocracy.

Indeed, and shockingly, stay with me here, it turns out Hilary Clinton may not not actually have been a great candidate, and has a proven record as a warmonger who betrays natural Democratic constituencies at the drop of a hat for votes.

Nah I'm saying we don't know because Mueller's report hasn't been released.

And say what you want about Vlad, he was on the right side - that is not supporting the jihadis - in Syria, and the world actually owes him a large debt of thanks for what he did there.

The Daily Beast is owned by IAC, and Chelsea Clinton sits on their board of directors. Wonder where that story came from..

Wikileaks knew the information came from Russia..
please see above post above VIPs professional Bill Binney.

Panama papers were already released.
Wikileaks only publishes new material.

Yep good sources there.

Strangely in a world of grey Chadwickos stance seems to be very black and white.
I detest Putin as much as trump.

Oh I'd take Putin a million times over Trump. Putin has never pretended to be anything but what he is. He's also done a very good job in pulling Russia back from the brink.

Worth recalling Putin wanted to bring Russia into its rightful place in the West too, but was rebuffed.
